Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We are not to be conformed to the world, but instead we are to serve God first. Proving that His will is above all other considerations. Do the biding of those who rule over us but not let an edict from the halls of government lead us into sin. (Lawlessness)
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. (Romans 12:9)
It is our function to honor what is good, but to hate evil. Let no man nor beast rob you of your goodness.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. (Romans 12:14)
I know this is difficult to handle, but it corresponds with what Yahshua said, when He said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (Matthew 5:43, 44)
Right now, we are being governed by a government that has done us harm, or attempted to. They are introducing things into our environment that will forever change us, and even alter our DNA, who we are, and who God created us to be. We cannot allow this to happen to us.
And while we must love our enemies, and pray for them. We cannot allow them to Harm us or our friends and family. So, in this case we must resist. Retreat while we can, and when we can’t then we must do whatever we can to stop them.
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:20, 21)
But according to Yahshua, this does not preclude defending ourselves. Did He not tell His disciples, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. (Luke 22:36)
Still, they all died violent deaths, because they did not compromise with this world. That has not changed! This world and those who run it will be happy to be rid of us, because of the Spirit we bear.
They are still of a mind to kill Yahshua, even today, and we represent His presence in this world. Surely, they will come after us to give us either a lobotomy or death. Either way it’s an attempt to neutralize the love of God.
Revelation 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,
8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.
9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
If there’s fighting taking place in Heaven, we can be sure that there will also be a war on Earth between the forces of good and evil.
While I tremble at the thoughts of this, I am not naïve enough to think otherwise.
Shalom my friends,
