John 10:22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.
26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
30 I and My Father are one.”
It is Hannukah, the feast of Dedication, is about the cleansing and rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. And Yahshua / Jesus walked In the Temple during this time of celebration.
Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” (Vs 24)
He has already answered this question for them, and they did not believe. So, He replies saying, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.” (Vs 25)
They are so awash in their own doctrine, that they cannot begin to fathom the truth. And he tells them why they are having this problem, saying, “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.” (Vs 26)
This is what Satan does! He deceives in such a way that we cannot recognize the truth when it’s staring us in the face. Here they have the living Word of God standing before them and they cannot understand the Word.
Here is the distinction between those who are set apart for Christ, and those who are not. Those who believe, belong to the good shepherd, but those who do not believe Have not entered in. and are Left out.
Yahshua says, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (Vs. 27, 28)
Hearing Him, His Testimony, and believing is key to loving and knowing Yahshua Christ. And here is why there are so many otherwise Good people who cannot believe that what Christ says is truth, and why so many are groping for scriptures that contradict his Word.
There is no other voice that we should listen to, Y’shua is Savior, Messiah, and the living Word of God. Everything else is going to follow Him, that matters. Those who don’t follow Him, don’t matter, and are already among the dead.
He says, “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
I and My Father are one.” (Vs 29, 30)
We who believe are sealed, we bear His mark because we walk according to His Word, For He is the living Word of God.
But those who quote Paul out of context, twisting His words to contradict Yahshua are dead in their unbelief. They make excuses for not keeping the Commandments of God, disregarding what Christ taught them. These folks are worse off than the Pharisees, because the Pharisees at least kept God’s holy Sabbath, where traditional Christians do not.
Remember what Christ said about Keeping His Word, He said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father who sent Me.” (John 14:23, 24)
No matter what we think Paul may have said, Christ is the Way, the truth, and the Life. Paul would have never said anything to contradict Y’shua.
Do not listen to anyone who does not preach Christ, and the Commandments. This is the Mark of a false teacher. One who would lead us away from God’s Law is such a false teacher.
Believing equals Following, and following equals loving him!
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)
Shalom my friends,
