My burden is Light!

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The farther we move toward our future in this world, the more we will be persecuted for our faith in Yehoshua Christ, because we bear His holy name, and walk in His ways.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Vs 6)

Ever since Christ was born 2000 years ago, there has been a resistance, but for a time we had a government that pretended to be Christian. They acted in a way that demonstrated a corresponding belief because of most people were committed to Christ, but that did not stop them from doing evil.

Now they have brought thousands, even millions of people into this country that are staunchly Against Christianity. And they have since announced that evangelical Christians are a hotbed of potential terrorism.

So now they will come against those who are leaning on a Constitution written by Christians, for a nation that was intended to be a refuge for persecuted Christians.

On the base of the statue, we find this excerpt from a poem penned by Emma Lazarus in 1883.

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.”

Obviously, this nation was intended for those whose fervent desire was freedom. All of the things our constitution stands for, made us a light to the entire world. And persecuted Christians, Catholics, and Jews, would find a home here and live free!

Because the nations have come against Christ now, we will bear the burden of that persecution intended for His shoulders to bear. But then, isn’t that the way that Christians have lived for centuries, because Christ brought the truth, and confronted the lies.

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.

He knew this would happen, and the reason he knew, is because the world and it’s governments will never tolerate the Kingdom of Heaven. We cannot build a house on lies and then accept the truth.

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Vs 7)

If America will remain the domain of Christ, then Christians are going to have to make it what it was intended to be by those who took it away from our previous tyrant, King George. For they created this nation and dedicated it to Christ our God.

“On April 30th, 1789, America had a Constitution and a newly formed government. On that day, the government, the House, and the Senate gathered for the Inauguration of our first president, George Washington. In his Inauguration Address, Washington gave a prophetic warning: “We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and the right which heaven itself has ordained.” Washington’s warning was, if we would begin to depart from God, He would remove His blessings, His prosperity and His protection from our nation.”

This is our Country! God’s gift to His people, it’s not intended for those who despise Christ or His church. And because of this we are going to have to decide if we will surrender the light, to the forces of darkness.

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Yes! We, you and I, are the light of the World, either we have taken on that Yoke or we have not. Which is it?

Can we imagine a world without that light, a world without America?

Our founders made it so that we could fight to keep it, just as they did to found this nation. Take up your cross and become a modern-day Maccabee.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever
