In the midst of a rebellion, Cling to Christ.

Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.
4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.

5 “Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.
6 Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
7 “For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?
8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,
10 especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’

There are two nations that we know have been dedicated to YHWH God, the Elohim, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and those are the nations of Israel and the United States of America. And Now we share the same troubles.

Clearly, what happens to Israel also happens to us, and for the same reasons.

“You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Vs 2)

Everything that was given to Israel has been handed down to us in the Bible.

“Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.” (Vs 5)

From the outset this nation was a refuge for persecuted Christians, The Puritan’s were a good example, the Huguenot’s, Protestants from Ireland and Germany came, and Jews from all over, seeking safety and freedom. And we took them in.

7 “For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?
8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?

For many years we called on the name of the most-High YHWH God. And for many years he faithfully answered our prayers. In times of War, and famine, YHWH God was there for us. He answered our Prays and yes, even prayers that came from the Oval Office itself.

For it was America’s first President who invoked God’s name over this nation to begin with.

On April 30th, 1789, America had a Constitution and a newly formed government. On that day, the government, the House, and the Senate gathered for the Inauguration of our first president, George Washington. In his Inauguration Address, Washington gave a prophetic warning: “We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and the right which heaven itself has ordained.” Washington’s warning was, if we would begin to depart from God, He would remove His blessings, His prosperity and His protection from our nation.

After Washington’s address, the government, the House, the Senate, and America’s first president traveled on foot to Saint Paul’s Chapel. No one knows exactly what was said inside but we do know the entire government was on their knees praying and consecrating this nation to God. In the chapel there is also a plaque above Washington’s pew with the words “Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that you will keep the United States in Holy protection.” Saint Paul’s Chapel is located at the corner of Ground Zero and is the spiritual birthplace of America.

“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’” (Vs 9, 10)

Do we really think we can invoke the name of YHWH God over our nation and the walk away from Him?

No! I shall not be! For when we depart from Him, He will depart from us, and the wrath of God takes His place.

Deuteronomy 30:15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,
16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
17 But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,
18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish;

We as a nation will not do this, and remain intact. We will obey Him or deal with the consequences of our rebellion against Him. I know that He has a remnant here, and I pray that he will make provision for us, to remain in His fold. He will shelter and protect those who are His!

But the rest? I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes for anything. For the price of their rebellion is going to be terrible especially after Yah’s own has warned them.

So, I say to you in the holy name of Yahshua Christ, return to the way of the Messiah of Israel, keeping His Commandments just as we were taught, or accept His judgments, there will be no safe place for those who do not!

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

  1. Amen, Yeshua was not making up new commandments He was reinforcing the very commandments / covenants previously given by the Father YHVH. The Father and Son are one and there is no contradiction between them. The son did not come to abolish the Fathers instructions but to live them fully as our example and accomplishing the goal of complete loving obedience even to death and resurrection.
