Deuteronomy 4:1 “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.
2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.
4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.
The commandments we have been given are the path to a peaceful life. But when we begin to dismiss them, trouble comes. And we have seen that over and over again played out in the scriptures, and in our personal lives.
We were warned of this many times over, Christ warned of what would happen if we did not walk the narrow path, and warned us of those who preach outside of the Law.
And then He said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:22, 23)
He has no intention of letting the Lawless enter the Kingdom of Elohim, and tells us straight up He will turn us away at the judgment bench.
Plus, we have been told, “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Vs 2)
And what have we done? We have changed YHVH God’s 4th Commandment, changing His Sabbath day. We have abandoned God’s feast days and created our own, adopting the feasts days of Pagan idol worshipers.
So now we preach and teach things that are not even in the Bible. Like Christmas, Easter, and Lent.
Oh, my friends, what have we allowed to creep into our Churches? Whatever it is it has no compunction about lies and deception, or coming against the very Elohim that created us.
Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.
But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you. (Vs 3, 4)
At Baal Peor, God destroy a large portion of the Children of Israel because they committed Idolatry with the Medes.
Numbers 25:1 Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab.
2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.
3 So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.
Thousands died Be cause of the Fighting that resulted and the Plague, it is not a good thing to anger YHVH God. And don’t think that God has changed, he will never change.
“For I am the Lord, I do not change;” (Malachi 3:6)
We Have not gotten away with anything. The only thing that has changed is Christ has allowed us an opportunity to repent and be forgiven. And that will be available to us right up until the day we die.
Because of the grace of Yehoshua Christ, we have an opportunity to return to Him. But if we continue in our disobedience, and violate His Commandments. What we have done, is announce our idolatry to the whole world, and many of us, even the majority, will be headed to the fiery pit.
Revelation 20:13 And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Notice that at the time of judgment, we are given the same sentence as our master, Satan. who is the Anti-Christ, but if we return to Yehoshua now, this cannot and will not happen.
I know that there will be many who will refuse this opportunity to return to the way of Christ. And that saddens me. But if just one person comes out from under the false teachings of our churches today. I will feel as though my efforts have not been in vain.
1st John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Do we not know that He would never Have engaged in the traditions we have invented?
Shalom my friends,
