Esther 4:15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai:
16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so, I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.
Even the queen knew that to go to the king uninvited meant that she could be killed on the spot. So how did she prepare to see King Ahasuerus? She went before Him in absolute humility, fasting and praying for 3 days prior to going. Cleansing Herself of any self-interest, she went knowing that she could die as a result. But some things are more important than life.
The utmost caution must be exercised when coming before our King for any reason. Especially the King of Kings, the time will come when all of us will appear before Him, and who and what we are will be weighed according to what we have done with the life we have been given.
I recommend that because we know that unlike Esther, we will be summoned. But never the less, it will be a life and death encounter.
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
Many of us are in no way prepared to meet our King. Thus, we need to find out exactly what is required of us to be prepared. We need to know His ground rules, not ours!
Total submission is required, do not appear before Christ Yahshua in our arrogance, to tell Him that we require grace, rather than obedience. I can guarantee that this would be a recipe for His worst response. Lawlessness equals sinfulness, and the wages of sin is death.
Christ said, “So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:49, 50)
While we can, now is the time to admit our error, and repent, turning from our lawless ways, and changing so that we come before our King humble and obedient. A loving Child of YHWH God, returning to His Father. It cannot be any other way, even for those who have the shallowest understanding of the Bible. They must know that this is required of them.
Do not go unprepared!
Shalom my friends,
