Covenant Keeper’s will live!

Exodus 31:13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

Today we will try to bring into focus the one thing that has done more harm to the unity of the Assembly than any other one thing. It is an open wound in the side of the body of Christ and needs to be Closed and healed.

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (Vs 13)

The Sabbath That God is speaking of is the same Sabbath that He ordained in the Garden of Eden on the 7th day of creation. This Sabbath is the mark that we bear, that says we belong to Him, and no other. A sign of the agreement between us and the Father. Without this mark we cannot be sanctified. (Designated as Holy to him.)

This to God, is the most important of all of the Commandments given to the assembly at Sinai, and those of us who are grafted into the olive tree must Hear and obey this Commandment in particular, for it means life or death to us.

“You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.” (Vs 14)

God himself declares the Sabbath Holy, and everyone who profanes it, will die. And if a person does work on this 7th day, that person shall be cut off from the assembly. Violating this one commandment is a death sentence.

So, what is the first thing that Satan attacks when the church is being formed? He comes after the Sabbath. And we are intimidated into adopting the Pagan Sabbath instead of God’s set apart day.

Pagan’s worshiped the Sun god; therefore, many now meet on Sunday, thanks to Rome and the Roman Catholic Church. And many Christians were put to death by Rome for keeping God’s Sabbath, they were martyred because they were unwilling to give up the Sabbath that God ordained.

So Yes, Satan’s attack on the church of Christ came through the Roman Catholic Church, but we have bought into it, so that most churches now ignore the Sabbath that God gave us and ignore also His covenant.

“Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.” (Vs 15, 16)

We are supposed to be a covenant people, with this one exception we do not keep covenant with God. So, whose covenant are we keeping? It seems that we have come into agreement with the Anti-Christ, whom the Bible refers to as the Lawless one. This is the one who violates God’s commandments and thinks nothing of it. And why is that? He is leading you to your death, that’s His job. God’s enemy is our god, when we surrender to His will in preference to God’s. This is what we have done to ourselves because we caved to Roman Catholic intimidation.

“It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

So Here again he brings forward the reason for His Sabbath and reminds us that it has stood since the creation of the Earth, and everything in it. Clearly God’s intends His Sabbath to be eternal, and it is but only by those who believe and value God’s word above life itself.

The Sabbath is for those who will enter the Kingdom of Elohim, and who have been granted eternal life. This is what Covenant is all about. We must reject every attempt on the part of the Lawless one to turn us from our Covenant with God, even if it costs our lives. For those who believe, eternal life is our reality, and physical death is nothing to us.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2nd Timothy 1:7)

And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. (Vs 18)

Understand that before the Commandments were handed over to Moses, this one thing was stressed by God Himself, so that we would be sure to understand the importance of it. If we cannot abide by the Covenant given at mount Sinai, we need to understand that the consequences will result in eternal death.

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
