Hear God’s Prophet!

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

18 Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
19 Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people—The fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words nor My law, but rejected it.

The Prophet Jeremiah is prophesying that Jerusalem will be destroyed. This is the way HaShem rolls.

Those who will not obey His Word, the Commandments of God. will not be allowed to survive. They in their sin will perish.

I don’t have to prophesy for the nations, for God has already spoken it through His Prophets. I am here simply to remind you that the most important thing the Traditional Church can do now is to call all so-called believer back to the Commandments of God, including the 4th commandment, a return to God’s Sabbath.

America has risen up to elect a president who will do the right thing, but they haven’ t risen to Honor A God who has total control over all things having to do with our survival as a nation.

“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ (Vs 16)

How can we disagree with God’s word and expect His blessing, they even argue against His Commandments, preaching that we don’t have to keep them? Are you insane? Do you not know that God does not change, and neither does His Word?

He is on to you, and your ways, He see’s our sin, and while we are lukewarm toward Him, He will no longer tolerate our half-way stance.

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Revelation 3:16)

When destruction comes the only ones left are going to be those who have realized their error, overcome the lies and deceptions of false teacher’s, and returned to the Way of Christ.

Do not think that we can continue in the way of the false teachers and survive. God has promised otherwise!

Did Christ not Warn us, “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.” (Matthew 24:24, 25)

“Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.” (Vs 18)

Every Man or Woman who comes out of a seminary Has been taught this false doctrine, and because of 1800 years of indoctrination, they have nothing to teach us but lies that came straight out of the Roman Catholic Church. But now this can no longer be allowed, because Yehoshua Christ has allowed us to see what they are doing.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31, 32)

It is at this point necessary to choose between the truth and a lie, in our walk.  But know this, whatever you choose now will result in an outcome that has been prophesied by God’s own prophets.

Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people—The fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words nor My law, but rejected it. (Vs 19)

I pray that at this writing, My Savior and my King is saving lives, through the Word of God, as it has always been His practice!

For I come to you in the Holy name of Yehoshua / Jesus Christ.

Shalom my friends,

YHWH will have the last Word!

Exodus 31:12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

Just prior to handing down the Two Tablets of Commandments to Moses, HaShem made one last point that indicates His Will regarding the Sabbath. And believe me, when you read what he said about it, you will want to return to His Way, and His Sabbath.

He said, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (Vs 13)

Deliver this message to those who are my Children! You will keep My Sabbaths! This is not a request, but a Commandment with dire consequences attached to it! For it carries with it, the promise of eternal Death.

“You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.” (Vs 14)

Everyone who profanes His Sabbath will die, and be ostracized, cast out from the body of believers. My God, do you realize what God is saying here? All of these Traditional Churches and their members are already condemned, unless they repent, and turn from this deliberate sin.

“Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.” (Vs 15, 16)

We have 6 days in which to Work, and make a living. But the 7th Day is Holy and set aside for rest, and has been that way since the creation of the World.

This is not Man’s Sabbath, but was established By God from the very beginning of Time. On the other hand, the practice of keeping Sunday as a Sabbath coincides with the Pagan Sabbath for their Sun God. It exists only because the Roman Catholic Church changed it, so that they could bring more Pagan’s into the church.

They were successful in so doing, and killed many Sabbath keeping Believer’s in the process, enforcing this blasphemy. So now we have a Church that is more Pagan than Christian. For many of us prefer to follow Pagan traditions rather than live according to God’s Word.

“It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’” (Vs 17)

When God gives us a sign, we need to know that it is vital that we understand it, for this one is life giving. And here it is, a sign that we indeed belong to the Creator. A part of the covenant that indicates that we are His, and He is indeed our God. The Sabbath is our Mark!

Who but the Lawless one would throw away such a blessing, and God given Mark or sign that we are His?

Who would dare show up for Judgment without having this mark?

And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. (Vs 18)

Isn’t it interesting that this is the last thing that God said to Moses, before handing Him the Commandments, that alone conveys the importance of it.

Yahshua said, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

These Commandments are the very same ones that God the Father wrote with His own Finger in stone!

Only a deceived Person would go against them?

Bringing in the Sheaves!

Psalms 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.

So many of us came to Christ, but we weren’t taught the commandments, and why is this? What harm could there be in preaching the Commandments of God, and keeping them? But on the other hand, what good can come from obeying God?

We are told by the Psalmist that the Commandments are perfect converting the soul. So, let’s explore this Verse and see if that’s true. If we were to go, let’s say to the doctor’s office, or to any place where we might be in line or having to wait for something. Usually we are amongst strangers.

I have found that it’s OK to speak to them, most would not mind a little conversation. I would introduce myself, and ask their name. And then I would ask if they would consider themselves to be a good person?

Most would say that they are good people. And then I would ask if it’s okay to ask a few questions to see if they really are good. They usually respond with, “sure that’s ok.” Mostly out of curiosity, I suppose.

And so, I will ask if they had ever told a lie? And most of them will say, “Yes.”

I would then ask how many lies do you have to tell to be a liar? Then comes the response, “just one.”

I ask then, have you ever stolen anything, including something borrowed that we did not return, mis-appropriated anything? The answer comes, “Yes.”

How many times do we do that in order to be a thief? “One,” comes the reply.

Have you ever looked at a member of the opposite sex with lust? “Yes.” comes the reply. Yehoshua / Jesus said that having done that, we have committed adultery in our heart.

By now we can begin to see conviction coming on the face of this person.

And when I say that I am asking them about the Commandments of God, and that this his standard for the goodness of a person, then they understand. And then I ask if they knew that when they are judged by God, it will be according to His Commandments, and here they are an admitted liar, thief, and an adulterer at heart.

And if we were to be judged today, how do they feel they would fare? Would God say they are guilty or innocent? Most will reluctantly say, “guilty!”

If you’re guilty, will you be going to Heaven or to Hell? Usually they realize that they are truly in Jeopardy. And the reply is, “Hell!”

I have had many people come to tears when they realize their predicament.

I ask them if this causes them concern? Usually they agree that it’s grounds for concern.

I tell them, it concerns me, I don’t want to see anyone go to hell, do you?

Now, I do not pray a prayer of salvation over them, but I ask them if they would like to pray?

And even if I pray with them a prayer of repentance, I still recommend that they not lay their head down on a pillow that night without talking to God about their desire to change / repent.

Notice I didn’t mention the Sabbath or any other commandment at this point, and while those things are just as important, getting a person to understand that violating God’s Ten Commandments is sin. is a major step in the right direction.

Truly the Commandments of God are perfect in converting the Soul.

When a person comes to Christ this way they will be soundly saved, and their conscience will not allow them to backslide, but if we continue to bring people to Christ without the Law, we have served their itching ears and they will succumb to temptation at the drop of a hat. A sugar coated gospel is doing more harm than good in our churches today,

Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding;
For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law. (Proverbs 4:1,2)

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:37, 38)

Shalom my friend,

When God sighs.

Mark 8:11 Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him.
12 But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.”
13 And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side.

As soon as they arrived by boat in Dalmanutha the local Pharisees came out to argue with Yehoshua wanting a sign from heaven. And just like they always do, they tested Him.

He and the disciples had just left 4 thousand people who were hungering and thirsting for the word of God in the wilderness. So, here we have a multitude who want to hear Him, and in contrast He is now greeted by those who are more interested in His proving that He is the Christ, than they are in sitting at His feet to learn.

But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.” (Vs 12)

A sigh is defined as a long, deep, audible breath expressing sadness, relief, tiredness, or a similar feeling.

I can certainly understand that deep sigh, and Him not wanting to waste His breathe on doubters. They want a sign? They are standing in the presence of The Messiah, and they want a sign? They know of the Miracles. They know about the crowds who are following Him everywhere He goes.

These men had not an ounce of Faith in them, or they would have been on their knees. Anyone who is Spirit filled has had the same experience. Those who are so indoctrinated in false doctrine that they cannot see the truth, or whose hardened hearts will not allow them to hear, they do not deserve the time it takes to try to convince them of the truth that is so obvious.

So, Yehoshua said why do they do this? There will be no sign given! All sorts of signs were given, and they had no knowledge of it. He knows that they wouldn’t believe it, if they had a sign.

So, what happens next, while it’s so sad, it smacks of judgment, and a desire on the part of Yehoshua to not waste the time he has with hard heads. He is engaged in the harvest and will not waste His time with unbelievers. He knows His time is short.

And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. (Vs 13)

Here is a preview of the wheat vs the tares. And the separation of the sheep and the goats. Not everyone is fit for the Kingdom of Elohim and that is glaringly true here.

These Priests are dressed in clothing that told everyone that they were priests representing The Lord God of Israel. They were involved in the lives of all Israelis. They ran everything and did so at a profit, not unlike those who wear suits, and stand in pulpits today.

We have in the church modern day Pharisees, who also teach corrupt doctrine, and even contradict the words of Christ Himself in so doing.

It is troublesome to think of Christ Yehoshua emitting an audible sigh when confronted by such people who question His word. While I pray for these hard heads, I can certainly understand His getting back in the boat and leaving them astern.

I have been a part of a Church that had heard this sigh, and the departure of Christ, at their unwillingness to search out the truth, and depart from false doctrine. We all know what a dead church is!

Proverbs 4: 1 Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding;
2 For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law.

It’s as if they do not know that he is coming to Judge. And when He does, he will judge according to the commandments of God.

Did he not say, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14)

Fear Not!

Matthew 16:21 From that time Yehoshua / Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
24 Then Yehoshua / Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
28 Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

Yehoshua Is telling His disciples that He must say goodbye to this world. And explains that He must suffer many things by the hands of the elders and the chief priests.

He tells them, He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. (Vs 21)

What’s hard to understand for many of us is that even though these men have spent 3 years with Yehoshua, seen many miracles, and heard the Word of God taught by God Himself, they still had issues with letting go of the things of this world, and Peter is good evidence that this is so.

He says to Yahshua, ““Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” (Vs 22)

He doesn’t want to believe that the Power of Christ extends to things beyond this life. He has not quite grasped the Idea that Christ can die willingly, and three days later be alive again. So, He imposes his belief system on Christ Yehoshua. The response comes in the form of a rebuke, and a course correction.

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” (Vs 23)

This is so true of many of us today, is it not? We are so hung up on the worldly view and our limited version of life, that we forget that Yehoshua is not limited by the things of this world. He is going to show us good evidence of this in these last days. While many of us cannot see beyond our own lives.

He turns to His disciples and says, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Vs 24)

You and I may die a physical death, hence the cross. This is only to be feared by those who believe that death is the end of life. In other words, those whose faith will not allow them to extend their belief beyond this world and the fear that dying in the flesh brings.

1st Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

We have within us a Holy Spirit that will bring us face to face with a new reality, that is of eternal life.

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Vs 25)

Here is where we depart from the world and it’s belief system. We will live as if physical death does not exist.

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Vs 26)

Yehoshua speaks of following Him, rather than the world. Consider His entire mission on earth, is to give us a clear picture of what is beyond our physical ability to see. It is unavoidable, that we must cease to live in the flesh, because when we were given life, born into this world we must die knowing that life is on the other side of that death. Here is what faith is for.

For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. (Vs 27)

Here is what we’re living for. He will come and there will be judgment, and because he judges there will be rewards for those who have been faithful. This is His promise.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Now is the time to place our faith in eternal life, not death, and certainly not the things of this world. Fear Not!

The Minority are Saved!

Matthew 13:1 On the same day Yehoshua / Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Now Yehoshua, no matter where He was, could not get away from those who hungered for the Word of God, and no matter where He was there were people waiting to hear from Him.

On the same day Yehoshua / Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.
And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. (Vs 1, 2)

Peter’s boat no doubt, but in any case, sound carries across water, so that they could hear clearly every word He said.

Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.” (Vs 3, 4)

Parables are like a code so-to-speak, a puzzle that speaks to our Spirit. Not everyone can understand what the Holy Spirit is trying to speak into our hearts. But this is the way that Yehoshua taught, for a reason.

Because not everyone understood these things, He was able to speak to those whom the Holy Spirit chose to deliver the message to.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)

So, with that in mind let’s look at His message. The Sower is the Son of Man, and the seed is the Word of God, and the ground that the seed falls on is the minds and hearts of God’s people.

The Birds are the devil’s minions who come and discredit God’s word, these are the ones that devour the seed before it can sprout and bear fruit. Those seeds that fell outside of the intended space, the fertile ground that had been prepared for the seed. Theses fell by the way, not in it.

The way being among those who follow Yahshua, and keep the commandments of God. This is the Way, the truth, and the life that we must all live, this is how the ground is prepared to receive God’s Word.

“Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
But when the sun was up, they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.”
(Vs 5, 6)

Here is the Word falling on Hard hearts, those who cannot bear its burden. And when they are exposed to the light, the trials that it brings will not allow the words to take root and remain, they stumble and fall.

We see this all of the time in Churches that do not teach God’s law. People Come to Christ believing that grace is all there is, and the net result is the falling away because they have not the strength of Spirit to remain in the faith and follow His example. Unbelief causes then to back-slide.

“And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.” (Vs 7)

Among thorns speaks to the company we keep, if we are among unbelievers, we also will be subject to their influence. Stay away from them!

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you£ are the temple of the living God.        (2nd Corinthians 6:14-16)

“But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”       (Vs 8)

Some But not all will take root and bring forth a crop. Some of us will employ our testimony, and accomplish more than just survival, but they will multiply the harvest bringing others into the Kingdom of Elohim as well.

This is why we must use our God given Testimony, so that we can bear fruit and bring others into the light of Christ Yehoshua.

If we look at the over all picture that Yehoshua paints here, we will begin to understand the meaning of many other things He has said.

Such as, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14)

Not everyone who has heard the Word of God, will make it, but those who obey, are among those whom God has purposely set aside for His glory. These are soundly saved!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

A Leader hand-picked by God!

Joshua 1:10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’”
12 And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying,
13 “Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’
14 Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them,
15 until the Lord has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’S servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.”
16 So they answered Joshua, saying, “All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
17 Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as He was with Moses.
18 Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage.”

Isn’t it interesting that Joshua’s Name in Hebrew is “Yehoshua” the same as Christ? The leader of the Army of the Children of Israel has the same name as our Savior!

And He begins with orders to prepare for 3 days of battle.

“Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’” (Vs 11)

Get ready to fight for we are going into this promised land and take it, according to the will of HaShem.

And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying, “Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’” (Vs 12, 13)

For all of them to speak the same words at the same time, the Holy Spirit must have spoke through them. They reminded Yehoshua, that He is called to lead them, and that the hand of HaShem is on Him.

“Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them,”

Families will remain here until the fighting is done, they will not cross over the Jordan until the land is safe for them. We are going to have a parade before the Army crosses over to the land that the Lord is giving us. And you shall help them prepare to camp here before we go.

until the Lord has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.”

So, on the east side of the Jordan we will make our home, creating a secure place to rest. Here is our jumping off place, and while there will be fighting on one side of the Jordan, here in this place there will be peace and rest.

So, they answered Joshua, saying, “All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as He was with Moses.
Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage.” (Vs 16-18)

Here is their Word before God, Their Oath of service so to speak. They spoke again simultaneously. Words of Faithful service to HaShem. As Yehoshua does the bidding of God we will follow and obey. More than that, they promised that anyone who does not obey will be put to death.

And lastly, they said, “Only be strong and of good courage.” Do not waver in carrying out God’s Will.

Yehoshua will command His Army with their full obedience.

So, what can we learn from this that will help us to move forward in our present situation?

We know from this that there is a time to get armed and prepare to fight for what God has given us.

But the one thing we lack is the kind of unity that the Children of Israel have, and a leader that has been hand-picked by Yehoshua himself.

When These things come to bear Unity among those who are committed to Christ Yehoshua, I believe that He will give us a leader like Yehoshua was for the Children of Israel. For the Land that God has establish for us is threatened, and our enemy is also the enemy of God, just as it was in Israel’s Promised Land.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Mercy and Love go together!

James 2:8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;
9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

So much is said about the keeping of God’s Commandments throughout the scriptures, and most of it is ignored by men who know that they ought to walk in it, but don’t. Thus, it is impossible to love others as ourselves, or to love Adonai as we should.

“If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.” (Vs 8, 9)

Here is an example of how we ought to love one another by keeping the Commandments.

Ezekiel 33:7 “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.
8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

Adonai has laid upon us all the Law in its entirety, we are not to remove from it any Commandment, for it is the pathway to the Kingdom.  To set aside a Commandment is to say to God, I love you except for this Law of Yours.

Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Not some of our strength, but all of it! Not some of our Soul, but all! And with all of our Heart! What happens to that when we turn from any one of His Commandments.

When we call others back to God’s commandments knowing that they will die without them, is that not mercy, and love? Is not the saving of lives merciful?

“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.” (Vs 10, 11)

Also, if you do not commit murder, but violate the Sabbath as it is commanded in Exodus 20:7-8, have we not become transgressors of the Law?

I love you, my friends enough to warn you of this one commandment, that some of us have removed from God’s Holy Word, is going to cost lives. So even if you keep them all but this one you will find yourself far removed from Christ at judgment.

Did He not say, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:22, 23)

Practicing Lawlessness will cost many their eternal lives, for we will be judged according to the Commandments of God.

So, speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (Vs 12, 13)

Show Mercy to those who are walking in darkness, because they do not know to walk according to God’s instructions. The Law of Liberty.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34, 35)

The Power of Covenant!

Deuteronomy 4:7 “For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?
8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,
10 especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’

The definition of a Christian nation is found in God’s own words, “For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?” (Vs 7)

And why is he our Elohim? He is our God because we have elected to enter into a covenant with Him. We have chosen to keep His Commandments and honor His judgments. “And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?” (Vs 8)

“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,” (Vs 11)

We are warned against falling away, or being drawn into forgetting what He has done for us, and our descendants. He has seen this nation through so much and kept free until now.

And Here is where we have failed Him. No longer do we keep His Commandments, and no longer do we teach them to our children.

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12)

“especially concerning the day, you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’” (Vs 12)

Somehow, we have difficulty remembering the greatest redemption story ever told, when God redeemed our Ancestors, and brought them out from bondage in Israel. Yes, this is the same God that has seen this country through many wars. And redeemed us from persecution in other parts of the World. He has made us truly a melting pot of people from all over the world, most of whom Worship the Lord God of Israel.

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:” 3“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
4“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
5“Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
7“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8“The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
9“The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
10Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
11And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
12The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
13And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
14So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

And most of us remember when this nation was so blessed!

“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:”

16“Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
17“Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
18“Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. (Deuteronomy 28:15-19)

And most of us know that we are not now enjoying the blessings of God now. It is because we have chosen to deny the Covenant agreement, we have had with Him.

He is not slack in His promises. And he has said that if we keep His Word, He will put these curses on our enemies.

Deuteronomy 30:7 “Also the Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8 And you will again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.
9 The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,
10 if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Blessings and curses are simply a matter of Choosing!

If we don’t like what’s going on in our Country today, all we have to do is keep the Covenant we have with God!

Shalom my friends,

Who am I?

Exodus 3:7 And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
12 So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

The Children of Israel cried out to their God, and He heard their cry. Because they were oppressed by their task masters. He knew that they were Killing Male Children, He knew that they were laboring as slaves and feeling the bite of the whip. He knew their sorrows and their forced labor.

Where Egypt was once a place that they could live and prosper, now it was a place of bondage and death.

“So, I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.” (Vs 8)

He has come down to earth in order to not only deliver them, but to give them a home land, the promise of a land of their own is given in this verse. This was God’s intention at the very beginning of their redemption. He was going to displace several other nations to make a place for The Children of Israel.

“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.” (Vs 9)

It’s as if God is saying to Moses, can’t you hear them crying out? You have been there in their midst; you know their plight! Moses had killed an Egyptian for beating a slave with a whip who had collapsed. Even though he was of the house of Pharaoh, He knew of the suffering, and Identified with the people of Israel. Because he had learned that he Himself was the same blood as they who suffered, and could not deny that.

“Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Vs 10)

Here is Moses calling, to be God’s own prophet before Pharaoh.

He doesn’t know it yet, and has doubts, yet He will lead God’s people out of Egypt and into the Promised land.

But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Vs 11)

Who am I? That my friends, is a good question! And one that should be asked by anyone who has been called to serve God.

And then we may discover that we were born to this purpose, to serve God in whatever way He desires. We could not have drawn the first breath had God not known us and sent us into this world with a holy purpose.

This is who Moses is, and you and I are like him. All of us have a God given purpose, or we would not be here. Moses is about to be awakened to His God given purpose!

So, He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” (Vs 12)

God empowers those among us who will lead us, His Holy Presence is with them, and what they say comes from Him.  Yes, Moses was the reluctant Prophet, but he did what God commanded of Him. Because His people were suffering.

Now we need to consider how we can put this to work for us, how we can apply it here and now. There has been much prayer over the events that are taking place in our country now. We need to understand what it means when we cry out to God. He listens!

But we have not really suffered yet, and when we do. We will cry out to Him with a fervor that cannot be denied by Heaven. We have a leader now that is trying to head off the suffering that is sure to come if things continue the way they have.

Prayer is the answer my friends, fervent prayer is the only thing that will bring God’s attention to bear on our plight.

Hopefully He hasn’t decided that we need to be humbled enough to call on Him. For we have been prideful and arrogant toward Him. Turning away from His Commandments, and His Sabbath, this is not going to work in our favor where prayer is concerned. For our rebellious attitude toward Him tells Him that we are worshiping some other god, and that’s idolatry. This is what brings curses, not blessings.

Deuteronomy 11:26 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:
27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today;
28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.

So it is that perhaps we must suffer some before we will return to Him, and yet again be redeemed, as His people always are.  But one thing we have in our favor, at least we know whom it is that we must call on if we will be saved.

The Apostle Paul quoting the prophet Joel 2:32 said: For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
