The World will draw you away from Christ!

Revelation 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

In the end there will be only two kinds of people, those who can enter the Kingdom, and those who can’t. There will be those who will live and those who will die.

“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” (Vs 7)

Y’shua is looking for those who have loved Him enough to forego the things of this world, and have placed their trust in Him. They have overcome the world! They know that everything in it is a fabrication created by men. It temps, tests, and changes, but Y’shua does not change. He is a constant, and in Him we find life eternal. But on the other hand. the world cannot offer anything but death.

Anyone who has lived on this earth knows that no matter what we do here, it will always be terminal, and always be challenged. Riches, jobs, health, even family is conditioned by the Lord of this World. And we continually look for success, because it is held out like a carrot on a stick. But for those who belong to Y’shua that carrot becomes less and less important.

But our inheritance is far beyond what can be found on Earth, eternal life in a place that sparkles with His light, where praising YHVH is a way of life, where there is no concern for the time of day, or night. To live without a struggle. This is literally a return to Eden, and more.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Vs 8)

But He begins by giving life to those who come seeking. Pouring out living water to those who thirst for truth.

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.” (Vs 6)

He is the giver of life, and has been from the very beginning, and will be until the end. He in other words, is eternal, and it is in this eternal place that we will find our home, and the only security that we will ever know.

Did He not say,“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
(John 14:1-4)

And as He said afterward, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

How do we choose the path to heaven, and how do we overcome?

We make a deliberate choice to follow Him and His example, and also His teaching.

Abiding in Him.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (1st John 2:6)

So, when we abide in Christ Yahshua here is what happens. Whoever believes that Y’shua / Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
 (1st John 5:1-4)

This is the way to eternal life.

We won’t talk much about those who cannot manage a life of following Christ Y’shua. They’re dead anyway, but perhaps a few of them will turn from that reprobate life, before it’s too late.

He is coming, and so many of us have not done what is needed before that time. We are to be His witnesses, and the testimony he has given us must not lay dormant.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

YHVH God takes a bride.

Exodus 19:21 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the Lord, and many of them perish.
22 Also let the priests who come near the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.”
23 But Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’”
24 Then the Lord said to him, “Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest He break out against them.”
25 So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.

Again, comes the warning to stand clear of the mountain.

And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the Lord, and many of them perish.”  (Vs 21)

Also, the priests are warned to consecrate themselves, so that the Lord will not come against them. They must be absolutely clean, by fasting, by prayer, and by the washing of their clothing, and their bodies. Repentance is required.

“Also let the priests who come near the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.” (Vs 22)

This tells me, that when it comes to sin, all are equal in YHVH’s eyes. He has no tolerance for sin, and even less tolerance for sin in a priest or minister who teaches and ministers on Yah’s behalf.

But Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’” (Vs 23)

Moses reminds YHVH that they have been warned, The mountain is held as sacred in the eyes of the people, and while they do not fully understand the power of God, they are aware that they should not draw near to YHVH.

Then the Lord said to him, “Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest He break out against them.”
So, Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.
(Vs 24, 25)

Be careful that we’re clean, consecrated, fully repented. And then do not come too close to the boundary that has been set for you at the base of the mountain.

And then next thing they hear is the voice of YHVH.

Exodus 20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

The terms of His Covenant are spoken by Yah Himself. And These are also the wedding vows, between YHVH and the people of Israel. He is taking them as His family, His Bride. He will keep the terms of His Covenant with them. But do the people have the same determination to keep this covenant?

We will find that our memory of this event is short lived, and in generations to come, these covenant vows will be broken. And to this day we have teachers who deny the validity of God’s commandments, saying that they were abandoned.

And in so doing, they deny the name of Christ Yehoshua as the Groom.

Why else would he say, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)

He will come looking for a bride, and what will He find? A bride not acquainted with her vows?

He is coming, and those who call on His name are not prepared to receive their King.

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (1st Peter 1:13-16)

He is coming, and I shudder to think of it!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

How has Christ manifested Himself in us?

Revelation 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

When Y’shua / Jesus says He is coming, He will come. And those who believe know that He is coming to judge the living and the dead. And He will reward them all according to their deeds.

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” (Vs 12)

And His arrival will be quick, like lightening. And His qualifications to judge are nothing less than the existence of God.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Vs 13)

Remember what the Apostle John said in His writing of the gospel, He said, 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
(John 1:1-3)

So that when He wrote of Christ, the first thing that comes to mind is that He is God. there’s no other explanation for who He was, or the things He did. And or the things He said, “I and My Father are one.” or “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” (John 14:7)

But now most Churches know this, and even preach it. How Jesus is God! But what we have overlooked, and neglected to say, Is that He will judge us on the basis of The Law, the Commandments of God.

So, while most of us are going along through life thinking that we are saved by grace, we have ignored the fact that Christ during His ministry not only taught the Law, but insisted that all of us are to keep it.

Otherwise, there would be no point in judging us by our works or deeds.

We are beginning the promised years of trial and tribulation, just as promised.

There will be 7 years of serious troubles and persecution of those who are abiding in Christ. And then He will come. But because we are ignorant, or deceived, we are not ready for Him, and many of us will not be able to withstand judgment because of the lack of truth, and false doctrine.

What then will happen to those good Christians who have ignored multiple warnings from Christ Himself, and continued to violate His Commandments, and without benefit of repentance?

The Sabbath is a prime example! His Sabbath is violated with reckless abandon every week, and we have applied His holy name to a day that was never ordained of God to begin with, but was taken by the Roman Catholic Church knowing it was the day of worship for Pagans. Here is where we have blasphemed the holy name of God.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
(Exodus 20:7-11)

The 3rd and 4th Commandments have been violated now for over 1700 years because we believed the Roman Catholic Church rather than believing the Word of God! And have we even considered the repercussions? I think not!

“for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.”

There will be recompense for our lawlessness, and Jesus / Y’shua tells us this very clearly, He said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
(Matthew 7:21-23)

You don’t have to be the brightest bulb in the box to know that He is speaking of the traditional Christian Church. They do not follow the Word or the Will of God. They do not walk according to the Way, the truth, or the life of Christ. Lawlessness abounds in these churches, and all they know is to lean on grace.

He says, “‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” So now, do we want to stand before Him to be judged in this condition? I pray not!

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. (Vs 14)

Here we can see the results of His judgment. Those who have kept the Commandments are welcomed into the Holy City, and given access to the tree of life.

But what about those who are not judged worthy, the lawless ones, they are left outside in some rather unsavory company.

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Vs 15)

Having believed the lie, and put it into practice, they cannot enter the Holy City of YHVH God.

So, what lie is it that we have believed? It’s the same lie that Satan told in the Garden of Eden that caused the downfall of man. He said, to Adam and Eve that they in essence, don’t have to believe God, or obey Him.

And now we hear it from pulpits in our churches.

They apostle Paul spoke of it, 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
(2nd Timothy 4:3, 4)

And in His 2nd letter to the Thessalonians He said, 5Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?
6And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
9The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2nd Thessalonians 2:5-12)

We have been deceived, why? Because we didn’t love truth, but loved doctrine that allowed us a more permissive way of life. To sum it up, we simply did not love Jesus enough to obey Him.

John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Has He manifested Himself in us?

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

How difficult is it to walk according to the truth?

Matthew 23:2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.
6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’
8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.
9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

It is sometimes very difficult to discern the difference between what is genuine and what is false. But where Pharisees are concerned Yehoshua has them pegged.

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
Therefore, whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.”
(Vs 2, 3)

When they sit in Moses seat, and read from the Torah, that you must do, because it comes from the scriptures.

But then, He tells us that we must not follow their example, and do as they do. Because they say one thing, but do another.

He goes on to say, “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” (Vs 4)

All of us have know people who expect more from others, than they themselves are willing to do. And the Pharisees apparently were of a mind to live as examples to others, but in reality, to do things that were not exemplary.

“But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.
They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’”
(Vs 5-7)

Here is Yehoshua’s summation of Pharisees, and how they roll. He gives us a definition of a phony, by The Messiah of Israel, and uses these men as the ultimate example.

I have had some personal experiences with modern day Pharisees who were both false teachers and phonies all in one breath. And not all of them were clergy, some were just people who thought they were something more than they were.

Y’shua Christ called them hypocrites when He said, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men. (Mark 7:6-8)

They would not acknowledge their short comings as priest, but instead walked according to personal pride. And held the teachings of men higher than that of God Himself. Who would want to identify with these people? Certainly not me!

“But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.”
(Vs 8-10)

It’s just not a good idea to call anyone father, except our Father is in heaven. Let’s not give that honor to anyone else.

Did He not say? “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

It is my prayer that this comes to pass in my life. Y’shua says that we are called to be servants, not phonies.

And here is His description of what Is a genuine servant of God. He said, “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Vs 11, 12)

I don’t know about those who are reading this teaching, but understand this one thing, we are exposing here what Christ says, His Word is holy, and is the same Word that spoke the world into existence, and set the stars and moon in their places.

Anyone who sets Himself above Y’shua, is an impostor, and should be stoned, or at the very least shunned.

Be careful who you listen to, make certain they are speaking or writing via the Word of God and nothing else, for we may not add to it or take anything away from it.

We are admonished, “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)

So where does this leave us? With Christ Y’shua of course, who said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.” (John 14:23, 24)

Therefore, we will keep His word, not contradict it, or deny it. Neither shall we add to it or take away from it. And if we know Him, and abide in Him, this should not be a problem, right?

Shalom my friends.

Chuck Greever

Do not resist God!

Deuteronomy 11:13 “‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
15 And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’
16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,
17 lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.”

Here we find YHVH making a promise to the Children of Israel saying, “And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’” (Vs 13-15)

There are those among us that will say that this promise is not for us, but for Israel. But that is not possible, because our Elohim is Lord of all, not just Israel. And if we keep the same Commandments as they were given, why would He not love us and bless us also?

Did He not also lead us out of bondage? Look how many of us are descended from those who fled persecution in Europe, Asia, and how many who were freed from slavery, even after they were enslaved both here, and elsewhere. This nation became a refuge for persecuted believers from all over the world. Here is why we are referred to as a melting pot.

“Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.”  (Vs 16, 17)

We came here to serve the same Lord YHVH as Israel. And this is what we did for many years, but because we have not done the work of discipleship, now there are many among us who do not believe, and many false teachers who are teaching falsely, taking from the Word of God and twisting it to suit themselves, and taking us away from true worship.

We were told, You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)

Yet we who have followed false teachers, have added to God’s word, when we should have known better. They taught us all of those Pagan traditions that came out of Rome, like the changing of God’s Holy Sabbath, the introduction of Christmas, Lent, and Easter.

We have done exactly what we were warned against doing, when YHVH said, “Do not add to, or take from my Commandments.” Here is where we departed from Him!

So perhaps some of what Yahshua Christ said, will begin to ring true now. For instance, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” (Matthew 15:13, 14)

Speaking of the Pharisees, but we have our own version of blind teachers, don’t we? We have our own Pharisees!

What we are experiencing in this country is attributable to exactly that, the work of false teacher’s, who have brought forth Roman Catholic doctrine from the reformation, and even added to it. But this could not have happened, except that we were too lazy to check their teachings against the Word of God.

We would have done well to have responded to their teaching, just as the Bereans tested Paul’s words.

Acts 17:10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so
.

So, can we blame the Anti-Christ for doing what His Master Satan ordains, No! But we must accept responsibility for our allowing it to go on for so long untested.

It is not too late for a course correction, even now If we return to His Commandments, the curses that we are under can be reversed. We have an Elohim that will forgive us when we humble ourselves, and obey.

2nd Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

That’s the word of God!  Not A promise to some other people, but to all who will bow to Him and seek His blessings.

Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”  “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”  (2nd Corinthians 6:17, 18)

It is God’s intention to bring all of us back to Him, do not resist!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever
