Relationship restored!

Joshua 8:1 Now the Lord said to Joshua: “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.
2 And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its cattle you shall take as booty for yourselves. Lay an ambush for the city behind it.”
3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai; and Joshua chose thirty thousand mighty men of valor and sent them away by night.
4 And he commanded them, saying: “Behold, you shall lie in ambush against the city, behind the city. Do not go very far from the city, but all of you be ready.
5 Then I and all the people who are with me will approach the city; and it will come about, when they come out against us as at the first, that we shall flee before them.
6 For they will come out after us till we have drawn them from the city, for they will say, ‘They are fleeing before us as at the first.’ Therefore, we will flee before them.
7 Then you shall rise from the ambush and seize the city, for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand.
8 And it will be, when you have taken the city, that you shall set the city on fire. According to the commandment of the Lord you shall do. See, I have commanded you.”

Joshua is instructed by Yahovah as to how to take Ai, saying, “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.
And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its cattle you shall take as booty for yourselves. Lay an ambush for the city behind it.” (Vs 1, 2)

We need to understand that now that the sin has been removed from among them and the relationship is restored. And Yahovah begins once again to lead and to guide, giving yet again the exhortation to rise up against those whose are idol worshipers and to put  them to the sword.

So, they will do to Ai what was done to Jericho.

So, Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai; and Joshua chose thirty thousand mighty men of valor and sent them away by night.
And he commanded them, saying: “Behold, you shall lie in ambush against the city, behind the city. Do not go very far from the city, but all of you be ready. (Vs 3, 4)

So, the plan was given and Joshua commands His army accordingly. They will take the city, and Yahovah will help them to be victorious, that’s assured.

Then I and all the people who are with me will approach the city; and it will come about, when they come out against us as at the first, that we shall flee before them.
For they will come out after us till we have drawn them from the city, for they will say, ‘They are fleeing before us as at the first.’ Therefore, we will flee before them. (Vs 5, 6)

They will draw them out and the city will be taken while they busy themselves with chasing after what they think is the Army of Israel.

“Then you shall rise from the ambush and seize the city, for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand.
And it will be, when you have taken the city, that you shall set the city on fire. According to the commandment of the Lord you shall do. See, I have commanded you.”

In reality this is now the Lord’s Army, and it cannot be defeated for Yahovah is among them.

Isaiah 1:16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,”

When we begin to deal with the sin that is among us, then we will see victory, but not until that time.

And in order to eliminate our sin, we have to know our Elohim’s commandments, for they outline every sin that man can engage in. Disobedience to Yahovah is what causes defeats, because we have departed from Him.

How important is it to obey God at this time? Our obedience to Yahovah is life or death to us! Judgment is coming and we are facing the same kind of enemies as Joshua.

But we are blessed to serve a merciful Elohim, who forgives when we turn from those things that make us unclean before Him.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

As for me and my house.

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
16 “I, Yehoshua / Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

We know that he is coming, and that He will come soon now, and when He comes it will not be to administer grace, that time will have passed us by when He has appeared this time. So, we need to come to terms with our sinful nature before he makes His appearance this time. For now He comes as Judge, and to rule over every nation with an iron rod.

Yehoshua says, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Vs 12, 13)

This is his way of saying we’ll get what we have earned. Unfortunately, many of us have earned a place in Hell because we have sinned and not repented. Therefore, we must stand before Him in judgment bearing sin worthy of death.

He speaks of this time in Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

I can’t imagine what that would be like, having called on His name for a lifetime, but having Him turn away from us because we have not kept the Commandments of God. That’s what is meant by practicing lawlessness.

What idiot places His life in Yehoshua’s hands, and then does not obey what He says we ought to do, or follow His example. Yet this is the story for many of us who are facing His judgment.

The Apostle John adds, “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” (Vs 14)

He is telling us straight that those who have kept the Commandments of God, have been given the right to enter into the Holy City and have access to the tree of life. (eternal life)

So what Commandments are we talking about? The very least we can do is keep the basic Ten Commanments, is it not? But have we done that?

Have we abstained from lying, murder, adultery, and have we honored our parents? But more importantly, have we loved God with all of our being, or have we reserved some of that love for ourselves? Have we misused Yehoshua’s Holy name, or bowed down to other things, Idols like money, cars, houses, or possessions?

But here is the one Commandments that will cost more lives than any other:

Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Virtually all of the modern Church is keeping the Roman Catholic Pagan Sabbath, not the Sabbath that Yahovah Himself declared that we will keep for all of eternity.

Violating that one Commandment on the say so of men, rather than obeying God will cause so many of us to be left outside of the gates to heaven, looking in!

Perhaps this is why Christ said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14)

Thus, we have the last word as it is spoken by John and authenticated by Christ Yehoshua.

15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Vs 15)

The Lie that is being spoken of here is the one that has been shouted from many a pulpit, and was also said by Satan Himself in the Garden, as He spoke to the first two humans. Essentially, He said to them, that they don’t have to obey God!

So, they didn’t, and we all know what happened as a result.

God is back in the form of His Son Yehoshua, and we are still of a mind to follow the instructions of the Lawless one! There will be repercussions that will far exceed those of Eden being exited and God’s curse on mankind.

Did the Apostle Paul not say, “The wages of sin is death!” (Romans 6:23)

Here is the last word, “I, Yehoshua / Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” (Vs 16)

You have been warned by one who was sent for this purpose. We can listen and act on what is the unvarnished truth, or we can continue on our way to destruction.

Unfortunately, we do not now have a lot of time to think on it. But just consider this one thing, it costs us nothing to believe God and act on it.

Joshua 24:15 “And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Is Breaking Covenant Punished?

Joshua 7:13 Get up, sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”
14 In the morning therefore you shall be brought according to your tribes. And it shall be that the tribe which the Lord takes shall come according to families; and the family which the Lord takes shall come by households; and the household which the Lord takes shall come man by man.
15 Then it shall be that he who is taken with the accursed thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”
16 So, Joshua rose early in the morning and brought Israel by their tribes, and the tribe of Judah was taken.
17 He brought the clan of Judah, and he took the family of the Zarhites; and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man, and Zabdi was taken.
18 Then he brought his household man by man, and Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.
19 Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”
20 And Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done:
21 When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.”
22 So, Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver under it.
23 And they took them from the midst of the tent, brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord.
24 Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor.
25 And Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So, all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.
26 Then they raised over him a great heap of stones, still there to this day. So, the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore, the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

Joshua Has spoken to Yahovah and has been directed to sanctify His people and everyone with them. (Sanctify: to cleanse, wash clean.) They must make certain that they are acceptable to Yahovah.

They will be examined by HaShem, first by tribe, then by family, and then by household.

So, Joshua rose early in the morning and brought Israel by their tribes, and the tribe of Judah was taken.
He brought the clan of Judah, and he took the family of the Zarhites; and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man, and Zabdi was taken.
Then he brought his household man by man, and Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. (Vs 16-18)

Now the truth has been made clear, Yahovah has examined the tribe of Judah and Achan has been pointed out as the one whose deception, Has not only cost lives, but decimated the moral of the Children of Israel.

Keep in mind that the gold and silver taken from Jericho was consecrated to Yahovah, Achan not only committed theft but He was guilty of sacrilege, by taking from God what belonged to Him.

Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”
And Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done: (Vs 19,20)

Achan confessed His Sin. before the whole nation of Israel.

When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.”
So, Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver under it.  (Vs 21, 21)

Now what Achan has done is out in the open, the deception is broken.

And they took them from the midst of the tent, brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord. (Vs 23)

These things are restored to the lord. And this is done before the entire nation.

24 Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor.
And Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So, all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.
Then they raised over him a great heap of stones, still there to this day. So, the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore, the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day. (Vs 25, 26)

The whole Family and everything they had was destroyed from among the Children of Israel. the name of the Valley of Achor simply means trouble in Hebrew. And there they buried their troubles and thus removed the toehold that Satan had within the tribes of Israel.

It makes no difference who we are, or how holy we think we are; all sin is revealed before a just and holy Elohim. There just is no secret sin where He is concerned. We need not concern ourselves with hiding what we think we have done in secret. Repentance and change are the only path we have if we want to have a relationship with Our King and Savior.

“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2nd Corinthians 6:17, 18)

Shalom my friends,

Sin brings defeat.

Joshua 7:2 Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the country.” So, the men went up and spied out Ai.
3 And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not weary all the people there, for the people of Ai are few.”
4 So about three thousand men went up there from the people, but they fled before the men of Ai.
5 And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore, the hearts of the people melted and became like water.

6 Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads.
7 And Joshua said, “Alas, Lord GOD, why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all—to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!
8 O Lord, what shall I say when Israel turns its back before its enemies?
9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear it, and surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. Then what will You do for Your great name?”

10 So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?
11 Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.
12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.

Israel was successful in destroying Jericho, and now they set their sights on the next walled city to take it down. Ai was its name.

Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the country.” So, the men went up and spied out Ai. (Vs 2)

So now, plans are made to take this city.

And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not weary all the people there, for the people of Ai are few.” (Vs 3)

Not expecting defeat by the hands of such a small city, they sent just three thousand men against Ai.

So about three thousand men went up there from the people, but they fled before the men of Ai.
And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore, the hearts of the people melted and became like water. (Vs 4, 5)

Israel’s army was defeated, and Thirty-six men lost their lives as they ran from the battlefield. Their easy victory was turned into defeat, and Israel became fearful.

Then what will You do for Your great name?” (Vs 6-9)

Joshua does what any great leader would do, having suffered casualties, and a defeat. He prays, searching for an answer. Why did this happen to an army that is under the grace of Yahovah? He doesn’t know what to say when such a thing comes to pass, but finally he speaks of Yah’s glory. Asking, “Then what will You do for Your great name?”

His concern now is how to glorify the holy name of our Elohim. Here is where He gets His answer.

10 So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face? (Vs 10)

The Lord speaks to Joshua as if he should know what the problem is.

And says, “Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.
12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.”

Some one has sinned and cost the lives of 36 men, and also destroyed the moral of an entire fighting force. Sin is the culprit, and the person who brought that sin into the camp is to be destroyed.

In the society we live in today we have no idea how damaging sin is, it has taken down the greatest country this world has ever known, and turned it into a new age Babylon. Is it any wonder, that we are under attack from within? Sin is what is bringing America down!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Here is the purpose of a covenant with God, to separate us from our sin, knowing that sin is the sign of the destroyer. We are coming into a time when this knowledge will mean life or death to us and our Families. Believe me when I say that if you’re running for you’re life, you will need to have Yehoshua at your back. And sin separates us from our Savior.

It is vital now that we keep His Commandments, and learn that we must repent at the breaking of any part of God’s Covenant with His people.

2nd Chronicles 7:14if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

Malachi 3:7 Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,”

Shalom my friends,

Joshua Fought for Yahovah.

Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.

While Yahovah gave the Army of Israel the edge, they fought and slayed the enemy. They utterly destroyed every living thing in Jericho.

And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword. (Vs 21)

It’s not like Yahovah couldn’t do it himself. But for whatever the reason He always used the people as an army to fight for the Lord, and this is how the promised land was won. Their wives, and children were left behind while the men including the priests bared the sword against God’s enemies.

What can we learn from these two verses of scripture? We can begin to understand that God works behind the scenes to give us victory, but we must do the fighting. He will not do this for just anyone but for those who keep His Commandments, He will give them victory. This entire army was circumcised for this purpose. A sign of their faith in God.

Joshua 5:2 At that time the Lord said to Joshua, “Make flint knives for yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second time.”
3 So Joshua made flint knives for himself, and circumcised the sons of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.

No man can be drafted into service to the Lord to fight for Him, or to minister for Him, without have agreed to submit to Him totally, this is what circumcision is all about. Now while circumcision is no longer required of a man, the circumcision of the heart is.

My countrymen need to understand that God expects us to carry out His will, not the other way around. He is Yahovah, He does not tote and carry for us, but We are His people, and He will employ us to carry out His will.

Pray by all means, that he will show us how to deal with our enemies, just as he did for Joshua and His army!

Revelation 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,
8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.
9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Just as there is war in heaven so also there will be conflict here on earth, and Yahovah will destroy the enemy here as well. And in spite of Satan’s strength He will be defeated. I doubt seriously that we will be allowed to just be spectators. The fight will come also to God’s people.

Prepare now for what is sure to come, and make certain that our hearts are circumcised and submitted totally to Messiah.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

I am Yahovah, I do not Change!

Luke 16:19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
21 desiring to be fed with £the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’
25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,
28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

Being wealthy has certain responsibilities. Such as caring for those who are unable to care for themselves. A man who has been given resources, must also have the gift of compassion. And Yehoshua teaches on this in the next few verses.

He tells this story, “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.” (Vs 19)

So, in contrast He speaks of the poor man whom He sees every day, at his gate. He says, “But, there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores.” Vs 20, 21)

This makes me mindful of how grocery stores dump expired foods, and let the hungry go with empty stomachs. Here is a picture of a man who has more than enough resources for Himself, but does not allow his abundance to overflow to those who have a need.

Also, there is another side of this that perhaps we should mention. Every life is orchestrated, Yahovah places people and things in our path that will teach us, lessons that should be obvious. But depending on our views of what’s mine, vs what yours, we may or may not learn our lesson, even when it’s repeated. Then loss comes, and the lesson is learned the hard way. Poverty is a great teacher of certain lessons.

“So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.” (Vs 22)

Isn’t it interesting how Angels carried the body of the beggar away to Abraham’s Bosom, but the rich man was buried when He died? One is honored by Heaven and the other is simply buried. but there’s more! The Rich man winds up in Hades!

“And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” (Vs 23)

He is able to see that the beggar has it good, but he suffers, in torment.

“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’” (Vs 24-26)

What Yahshua is telling us here is that the division between Heaven and hell is there for a purpose, there will be no going back and forth. We have earned our place in either one or the other, and while torment is for those who cannot be held in Heaven, they can know that those who are in heaven are blessed, while they are cursed. And this is a permanent condition, for as long as we are there, or for all of eternity.

“Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
(Vs 27-30)

No amount of begging, or pleading will change the Judgment of God. There’s no way to change the verdict once it has been pronounced. And it is Yehoshua, the Son of God who delivers this sad story.

As to sending someone to warn other’s who were left behind after we die, we were warned by one who did rise from the dead, and still they did not listen.

“But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’” (Vs 31)

Notice though, how He adds that hearing Moses and the prophets will save them, if they keep God’s Law!

Did not Yehoshua say, “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.
But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (John 5:46, 47)

There is just one strand of truth that runs from cover to cover in the Bible. That truth was given by Yahovah, from the very beginning of time, that we must obey God if we want enter into Life in the kingdom of Elohim. That one condition is permanent, eternal, and never changing, because Yahovah never changes.

Spirit Led!

Genesis 49:28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them. And he blessed them; he blessed each one according to his own blessing.
29 Then he charged them and said to them: “I am to be gathered to my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite as a possession for a burial place.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife, there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife, and there I buried Leah.
32 The field and the cave that is there were purchased from the sons of Heth.”
33 And when Jacob had finished commanding his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.

The Very Last thing Jacob / Israel did before His last breath. Was to bless each of His Sons, the heads of the twelve tribes of Israel. And if we read the first 27 verses of this chapter of Genesis, we will hear his blessing upon them.

Keep in mind that the nation of Israel is made up of tribes, every individual is a part of a tribe. And a tribe is and always will be a family. A tribe has everything to do with blood kin, stemming from these 12 men. We too are part of these tribes, either by blood, or by adoption, we have become a part of Israel, the olive tree.

Romans 11:23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

We are grafted into the Olive tree which is symbolism for Israel. Just as the lost tribes are redeemed, we also are redeemed along with them, by the blood shed at the crucifixion of Christ Jesus / Yehoshua.

For Christ has said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)

So here is why I have brought forward this subject of tribal heritage.  From everything I have seen so far we have only put one foot into the body of Christ, In most cases we are still a bunch of individual who have not quite come to terms with Being part of a Family, or Tribe. We have our stuff, and lots of it. And we as individuals sit on this pile of stuff and act as if it were ours, protecting it from others.

This prevents us from having that close relationship with others, and especially with our Savior. Unless and until we can find it in our hearts to share what we have for the sake of our tribe / family. We will always be more concerned for our own welfare than we are for the Body of Christ and therefore we find ourselves separated from Him.

It is time to become one, with Christ, and with your brethren, not withholding anything, food, clothing, housing, money, or affection. Do not allow anything to come between you and your King.

We say that we want to know Yehoshua, we wonder why He is not speaking to us more clearly, or closer to us so that He is just right there always. Have we considered that It might be our refusal to join Him that hinders our relationship?

Have we counted the cost? Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—
29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’

We are not done until we have begun to commit to The Kingdom of God. We cannot hold on to the things of this world and enter the next. Now is the time to be tribal / Family. After all, what did Christ withhold from us?

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The Ultimate Authority, and the Anointing.

Exodus 3:11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

12 So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’
16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt;
17 and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

Moses wants to know, by what authority is he to bring the Children of Israel and others out from under Pharaoh’s hand and free them from bondage.

He says to Yahovah, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Vs 11)

Here is where HaYah gives Him the guarantee that He will have His close support, and a sign that he is Chosen by Yahovah.

So, He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” (Vs 12)

Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” (Vs 13, 14)

“I am” in Hebrew is HaYah, “I AM WHO I AM.” HaYah has sent me! What a badge of heavenly authority. Here is an anointing that is second to none, that will allow Moses as a servant of God, to address the elders of the Children of Israel, and to butt heads with Pharaoh and be heard.

Moreover, God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God, (Yahovah) of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’” (Vs 15)

Strong’s # H3068 for Lord.

יְהֹוָה

Yehôvâh

Yeh-ho-vaw’

From H1961; (the) self-Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: – Jehovah, the Lord.

God = Elohim

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’ (Vs 16, 17)

You would think that the Children would leap for Joy at such a promise. That God has heard their prayers, and is going to deliver them. But they have been suffering for such a long time, they meet Moses with a certain amount of skepticism.

Yes, they prayed to the Elohim of their father’s, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but now they are required to have faith, in order to receive the answer to their prayer.

But one important think is to be gleaned from this teaching and that is the name of our God / Elohim. Yahovah is the Lord’s Name and this name is to be known by all of His children.

“This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’”

I AM = HaYah, and Lord = Yahovah.

The King Rides!

Matthew 21:1 Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.
3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:
5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
6 So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.
7 They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
8 And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

The Father has prepared every step of the way for His Son even prepositioning transportation for Him according to the prophets.

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. “And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”  (Vs 1-3)

How else would He know that they (The Donkeys) are there, had not the Father put them there for Him? And now he enters the Holy City, as a King, riding and not walking. Not an ordinary King is He, but a Shepherd King, who humbly rides a white donkey colt.

All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:
“Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’” (Quoting Zechariah 9:9) So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. (Vs 4-6)

Normally when the chief priests go out to release the Azazel goat, the Chief Priest and His party return this way and are celebrated because Israel’s sins are forgiven.

So that we know that on Yom Kippur a sacrifice of a goat was made for the sins of Israel, the other goat was therefore, set free in the Kidron Valley.

But it’s interesting that one goat was sacrificed, while the other was set free. This is a kind of a mirror image of Christ’s dying for us to be set free, is it not?

Then there was always this processional through the same gate and into the City of Jerusalem, but Yahshua Christ and His party entered that way, before the Chief Priest got there. Yahshua and His Party were celebrated while all of the people were awaiting the Chief Priest. The King of the Jews has taken His place and He is celebrated as savior.

They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!” (Vs 7-9)

For those of us who don’t know the Meaning of “Hosannah”, it means, “save us now.” He is entering Jerusalem to the cries for Salvation.

Matthew 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
38 See! Your house is left to you desolate;
39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

The Day will come when Yahshua Christ the Messiah will return to Jerusalem and the streets will be filled with those who will shout, “‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, 15 Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey s colt!

Return to Eden!

23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you beforehand. (Matthew 24:23-25)

Yehoshua / Jesus told us to expect to be mislead in more than one way, He prophesied that we would be led by false teacher’s, who are more interested in money than in our salvation.

He said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)

We have swallowed their lies, hook, line, and sinker. We actually believe that the Sabbath is Sunday, and that it makes no difference to God what day we Worship Him. This wouldn’t be a problem for us except that it goes against the very Word of God.

God does not change! He does not change His Commandments for any reason. And He certainly would not change His Sabbath, which was established at the creation of the Earth and everything in it.

Hear His Commandment!

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(Exodus 20:8-11)

And we say, that God changed His Sabbath because that’s when He was resurrected from the dead? How is that more important than the creation?  And how is that possible? He died on Wednesday at twilight. Just as the high Sabbath was about to begin and was hurriedly placed in the tomb. So, He was there for tree days and three nights, just as He said He would be, and exited the Tomb on Saturday evening, at twilight. When Mary Magdalene came to apply spices to the body, and saw Him alive.

She had been waiting patiently for Sabbath to be over, and it was over that evening. As Hebrew days run from Sundown to Sundown. Not midnight to midnight like the Romans.

But let’s not stray from the point. Lawlessness is sin, and we have college educated people telling us that the Law has been abolished, therefore, removing any difficulty in ascending to heaven. Convincing us that it’s Ok to violate God’s Sabbath as well as the other Commandment, and most of us have believed these lies.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. (2nd Timothy 4:3, 4)

We have wanted to hear of an easy way to enter the Kingdom of God, but understand that Christ Yehoshua told us that it’s not going to be that easy.

He said, 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

How is the way Narrow if there’s no Law? And How is this permissive way difficult?

Is it difficult for those who obey God’s law, To keep His Sabbath, to not tell lies, nor steal from our neighbors? Is it difficult to not slander, or hate, but to love one another? And it is surely difficult not to murder, or commit adultery, am I right?

So how is it that we love God with all of our heart, our mind, and strength? How is it that we do not use His Holy name falsely, when we apply His name to the traditions of idol worshipers?

If we really believe these things, then we have loved and believed the biggest lie Satan ever uttered.

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Revelation 22:14, 15)

The lie is the same lie that Satan told in the Garden of Eden. That We don’t have to obey God!

Many of us have been duped by His plan to keep us in bondage to Him. So, I say to you, Depart from Him and His lies, and return to God who loves us, and has provided us with a way by which we can have eternal life with Him.

Shalom my friends.
