Matthew 19:16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’
19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.”
Clearly, it’s the commandments that make all of the difference, and the keeping of them draws a line between those who are saved, and those who because they are lawless are unsaved.
Many of us know how to identify the unsaved, but are not going to say anything to them, to help them find their way. Why?
I can only guess! Fear of rejection, or perhaps they’re just satisfied with the notion that they themselves are saved, and feel that’s sufficient for the need.
But perhaps they don’t know what it means to be a watchman.
Ezekiel 3: 17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore, hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:
18When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
19Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.”
Therefore, if we have in our possession, the truth of God’s word, perhaps then we should consider helping those who have been deceived. For they will most assuredly die the eternal death.
Opening the eyes of a blind man is a wonderful experience.
But the main thing is to deliver the Word of God to those who are living in darkness.
Whole churches will die unless we do this.
Didn’t Y’shua say, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:21-23)
Obviously, Y’shua is speaking of people who worship Him, calling Him Lord, a church! But they don’t keep God’s Torah / Commandments.
So, we know who that is! It’s our traditional Christian churches. These are those who preach grace without obedience. According to Christ Y’shua they will hear Him say, “depart from me, I never knew you.” At the time of judgment. Because of their Lawless disobedience.
But perhaps our sin is even worse, because we will stand by and watch as they are cast into the furnace. Having kept the truth to ourselves, we have remained silent while they die.
Perhaps while we examine ourselves, to see if we are truly in the faith, we should consider this one thing. Our refusal to share the light of God’s Word.
2nd Corinthians 13:5Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Y’shua / Jesus Christ is in you? — unless indeed you are disqualified.
Perhaps it’s time to rise up, and be the witnesses we are all called to be.
Shalom my friends,
