Is Paul our Savior, the living Word of God?

consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. (2nd Peter 3:15, 16)

Even though the apostle Paul is as learned as he is, he is correct in so many things he says, we have to be very careful to make sure that our understanding is in alignment with what Christ Yahshua taught. For we know that Paul would never contradict His Savior.

But increasingly people rely on The Epistles of Paul, and follow His words more than they do the Living Word of God, Christ Himself.

I have had people come against Yahshua Christ’s words, and use Paul’s writings to do it. But this is what deceived people do, they grasp at straws when Christ says something that interferes with their false doctrine.

Christ must come first, if for no other reason, He is the Savior, not Paul. And He is the Word of God in the flesh.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

We were warned of what would happen, and now it has come to pass. People are sitting and learning from men and women who do not know Christ, nor are they willing to know Him intimately. But rather they seek comfort from men who teach things that are not even written into the scriptures.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
(2nd Timothy 4:3, 4)

And while I realize that I am quoting the Apostle Paul, it does not contradict Christ, who warned us of wolves in sheep’s clothing

He said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.”
(Matthew 7:15-20)

We speak of discernment, but do not practice it, because so many of us are more interested in Doctrine than the truth.

And it was the same for Pharisees, they formulated Doctrine on the Basis of their own opinions, rather than the scriptures.

And this is what led Christ to say of them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
(Mark 7:7)

If you want to come out from under the deception, then study every Word that Christ Yahshua spoke. For he laid it our very clearly for us to know the truth. And also understand that when He formed His Assembly / His Church, He did so without the New Testament, He spoke from the same scriptures that were available to all of the Temple Priests.

So, what event has taken place that led us so astray? It is spoken of in the Scriptures, but apparently, we don’t want to hear it.

The Apostle Paul said, “Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?
And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He (The Anti-Christ) who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
(2nd Thessalonians 2:5-12)

God has built into His plan a better mouse trap, so that those who do not follow Christ, will eliminate themselves by following the dictates of the Lawless one, the Anti-Christ.

Now, even though I preach from the scriptures according to the Way of Christ, I have been accused of stirring up trouble, and causing division. But understand, that If I didn’t love you, I would have never said anything about it.

I am willing to suffer your rejection, and insults, because I perhaps place more value on your life that you do.

But understand this, Christ said, “narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:14)

How do we understand this difficult way, and or how narrow it is to walk accordingly, unless we are willing to look at how he lived, and taught us to follow His example?

If following Paul is preventing us from living according the way, The Truth, and the life he exemplified then something is surely out of place, isn’t it?

Did He not say, “If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17)

When we thirst!

John 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus / Yahshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40 Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.”
41 Others said, “This is the Christ / Messiah.”

The Crowd from the Synagogue began to catch on to who Yahshua is, and they began to see that he was truly from YHWH God.

He spoke to them and said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
(Vs 37, 38)

He gave me this scripture 20 years ago just to let me know where I would be going in His company, because I had come to believe in Him in a way that would not allow me to stray from His path, and I then began to seek Him in ways that I had not before.

And truly, when we come seeking to know and understand His Ways and begin to follow Him in truth, something happens to us that will not allow us to put a cap on that living Word that wells up in us.

I think that if I were to squelch the Word He gives me, then His Holy Spirit would depart, and I would wither and die.

But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (Vs 39)

It wasn’t until His Spirit was released upon the Earth that He began to bring change among those who believed in Him.

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Here is what makes all the difference when we enter His service, and His Spirit is the driving force behind that living water as it comes rushing into our being. No amount of doctrine will help us, but what must come through will be the voice of the Holy Spirit and it cannot be anything but Truth.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
(John 16:13-15)

I have discovered that so many people have walked away from traditional Christian Churches simply because they cannot relate to the lies and the deception that is being poured out there as doctrine.

We must begin to preach according to the truth or be left with nothing but a church full of itching ears.

For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law. (Proverbs 4:2)

And because we are preaching the truth, rather than Man’s doctrine, we begin to speak to the Spirit of others. And we will find that they have been waiting to hear God’s Word this way. Crowds will come, Hear, see, and respond in a way that we have never seen before. Because we ourselves have been transformed by His hand.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

When we can pick up the Bible and open to any page and discern the truth of His Word, then we can be sure that the Holy Spirit is in the driver’s seat. And living water is going to be the result.

This is what brings the lost to an understanding of the very thing their soul has been thirsting for, and they will rise up and come kneeling at the altar and never leave.

And People will say from their Spirit, Therefore, many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.” And others said, “This is the Christ.” (Vs 40, 41)

When we understand this simple principal, then it is Christ who will bring revival, not me, not you, nor anyone else. But by the Spirit God who calls us out of the World, and many are waiting for that call.

Here is why so many Christians need to be saved over and over again, because they have never been washed in living water before. This is not a business, not a way to make a living, but this is how we make ourselves a living sacrifice for the sake of the Lost sheep. After all, what is more important than securing the lives of those who need to be truly saved.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)

And then, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Forgiveness through repentance.

Deuteronomy 27:14 “And the Levites shall speak with a loud voice and say to all the men of Israel:
15 ‘Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ “And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen!’
16 ‘Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
17 ‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s landmark.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
18 ‘Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wander off the road.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
19 ‘Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
20 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s bed.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
21 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with any kind of animal.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
22 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
23 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
24 ‘Cursed is the one who attacks his neighbor secretly.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
25 ‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
26 ‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”

We have chosen to either be cursed or blessed by our deeds. And here is why many of us are struggling with life in general.  We have broken the Commandments, and have turned away from the covenant agreement with Yahweh God.

This is not a threat, but a promise!

Look around at our circumstances as a nation, have we not been cursed? Both collectively, and individually, for most of us have walked contrary to God’s Torah.

‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’” (Vs 26)

But on the other hand, there is a blessing for those who return to the Law / Torah. The Way of YHWH God.

Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

We Know when we are living under a curse or a blessing, do we not? And we know what must be done about it.  We Must repent and return to the Way of Yahshua Christ, for it is by His blood that we may repent and return to God.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

Can a Nation Repent? Yes!

As surely as he will hear the voice of a single contrite heart, He will hear the cries of a whole people.

But here is a question, what happens if the people repent, and the Government being evil, continues in its sin?

I think most of us already know. That YHWH God will enter yet again with an outstretched arm, and redeem His people, just as He did in the beginning with Egypt. Just as he did with Noah, and the flood, except this time it will be by fire.

Deuteronomy 26:8 So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.

Yes, He will clean house yet again.

Did Christ not say, “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
(Matthew 13:41-43)

How many times must we be told; this time is coming!

Shalom my friends,

Torah cannot be administered without Love.

John 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Yahshua / Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus / Yahshua saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Yahshua / Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”
11 He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’”
12 Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Yahshua / Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

I don’t know what feast that is being referred to here but the only feasts that are required of Jews, are those ordained of YHWH God. Therefore, these are Adonai’s feast days, not the Jews. Nevertheless, Yahshua was there, and it was the Sabbath.

Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
(Vs 2-4)

As He passed by His attention was drawn to the porches at the pool of Bethesda. Where many sick and disabled people lay. His attention came to rest on this one man who laid cripple, and he had been that way for 38 Years.

Here was a group of people who were so desperate to be healed that they were waiting for a miracle. To be touched by an angel and to be healed of their infirmity. Trusting that an angel will come and go from this pool. But for this man no angel came.

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
(Vs 5, 6)

The answer comes out of His focus on angels, not knowing that He was speaking to the Son of God in the flesh.  But he is about to find out that the power of YHWH God is present and willing to straighten His legs.

The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” (Vs 7)

Yahshua has the only answer he needs, so that while he is worried about getting into the pool, Yahshua says, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” (Vs 8)

Notice that he does not lay hands on Him, but simply speaks the Words to Him! The logos, the living Word of God speaks healing and heaven and earth carry out His will. And to affirm His healing he issues a command to this man who is still laying on His mat.

“And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.” (Vs 9)

So, here comes the Pharisees, “The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” (Vs 10)

They don’t care that this man was released from 38 years of being bound up and crippled, all they care about is their control over the Sabbath, no matter how wrong they are in their views. What the Temple priests didn’t understand, was that the Torah cannot be applied without mercy or compassion for others.

A relationship with the living God of Israel requires love before any other consideration. And they either never understood that point, or had forgotten it.

Remember that Yahshua had said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’  (Mark 7:7)

They were administering the law without love.

“He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’”
12 Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
13But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Yahshua / Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.
(Vs 11-13)

In their mind, Jesus Christ / Yahshua Had violated the Sabbath, but how could that be? Except that even though they knew that the Messiah had been prophesied, these so-called priests had so little faith they could not accept that he had come, and was healing people left and right even in their presence.

Now these are the same Pharisees as them who asked, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
Yahshua / Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
(Vs 36-40)

So, in theory they knew that Love is the driving force behind the Law. but they just had a problem applying it to their take on the administration of the Law / Commandments.

The Temple Jews had become Torah Nazis.

But on the other hand, Yahshua administered and taught the Commandments out of Love. He set a standard for all of us to Follow.

1st Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

The mystery of Great preaching.

John 7:14 Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
15And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”
16 Yahshua / Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
17 If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
19 Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?”

During the feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) Yahshua went up to the Temple and taught. Now apparently, they were impressed with His teaching of God’s Word, because they talking among themselves, said that they couldn’t understand How He could be so adept a teacher without having been trained.

Saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?” (Vs 15)

Isn’t that Interesting, that they were not able to understand that the living Word of God knew so well, the Scriptures? And taught as if he were the embodiment of God Himself.  So Yahshua knowing what they are thinking, answered their question.

He said to them, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?”
(Vs 16-19)

He speaks to Man made doctrine first, explaining that truth comes from the doctrine that the Father gives.

Proverbs 4:2 For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law.

He is teaching from the doctrine that His Father has given Him. And he explains that this way of teaching is available to anyone who desires to do His will. Saying, “If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine,”

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth,”
(John 14:15, 16)

It is the Spirit that brings forth the truth of God’s Word. And no matter what we have been taught by Men, this is the Word that must prevail in our Ministry.

“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
(John 14:25)

Anyone who truly wants the Holy Spirit of God can have it, all that is necessary is our submission to Him. But apparently this is one speed bump that is hindering a lot of folks. For the majority are preaching everything but God’s law / Torah.

“He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.” (Vs 18)

Thus:

“Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19)

I have seen so many men posting their own Image, and touting themselves as some sort of authority, when all they know is how to teach man’s doctrine. They come proudly straight from a bible school, and know nothing of the unvarnished truth of God’s Word, because that’s not what is taught to them.

A true man of God would never allow the lime light that belongs to Christ, to fall on himself. But will approach the pulpit humbly, because what is happening in His heart is Holy. And all that proceeds from this man’s lips is the Word of God as it is given by the Holy Spirit. It is not the man, but is what is living in Him. the very Spirit of Christ Yahshua. How dare we take any credit for what he does?

He said to them, “Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?” (Vs 19)

Here is what divides His Church now, The Commandments were given By Moses to the children of God, but few of us are keeping the Commandments as they were given, just like these Pharisees. It was divisive then, and is divisive now. And this unwillingness to obey God is what made the pharisees want to do away with Christ.

If we are not willing to obey Christ, isn’t this the same as nailing Him to a cross. We can accept some of what he says, but not all of it, so we will kill that which we do not agree with? How vain is that?

But those who are doing as he Commands us to do, keeping God’s commandments, they are Spirit filled, and nothing comes out of us but His Word in truth.

We need to cross over my friends, from our pride to humbly serving the living Word of God, and allow Him to do the work of ministry for us. Let nothing proceed from us but a humble obedience, and the ensuing Word of God, via his Spirit.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Now immediately following this word comes another verse, “I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” (Galatians 2:21)

Understand that it is the grace of God that forgives our sin when we repent. But it is by the commandments that we know what sin is. How can we continue in our sin and remain in Yahshua’s good graces? Paul is not saying that the Commandments are no longer Valid, what He is saying is that grace comes first. But then ought we not walk according to the Way, the truth, and the life He exemplified?

For the Apostle John says, “He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1st John 2:4)

And Paul Himself says, “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.” (Romans 3:31)

So now we must be crucified with Yahshua, living not of ourselves, but by His Spirit. Let Him do the preaching!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Self-Centered or God-Centered, our choice!

Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Now is the time to seek YHWH God, because He is waiting for us to come to Him humbly.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. (Vs 7)

What is wicked, and how do we uncover that part of us that He defines as evil? A self-centered person is wicked, for they have no God but themselves and Satan runs rampant among those who have no humility.

There is no righteousness among those who are self-centered. And what does Yah say about this unrighteousness, but that He will forgive us? But not until we return to Him! He is a merciful God toward those who will live according to His ways.

So how do we know his ways?

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
(Vs 8, 9)

No self-centered individual will know God’s ways, because we have to be in the Spirit to understand what God has decreed that we must do to walk in His ways. So here is the whole reason why YHWH God has written out His Commandments for us to follow. How else are we to know His ways?

And here is why so many Men and women are coming against the Way of Christ, Because His Way is the same as the Father’s Way.

And this is why He says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” (John 5:19)

So, when we follow Christ Yahshua, we are following the Old Testament God, His Father, and only a fool would try to separate them. Thus, when someone tries to tell us that Christ has vacated the Law of God, (Torah) we need to know that they are lying through their teeth, and have adopted the doctrine of the Anti-Christ.

And here is exactly why He (The Anti-Christ) is called the Lawless one!

Do not waste your time with these folks but separate yourselves from them. For the hell that they are going to, is going to be just as hot for you.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

The Father of Christ Yahshua, wants to be our Father as well. And when we put our pride away, and set out to obey Him, we will be able to walk in the love of the father and the Son.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Yahshua / Jesus is the Son of God?
(1st John 5:2-5)

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Seek first the Kingdom.

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;

29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

I have seen YHWH in action. He has fed me, clothed me, and sheltered me in grand style. However, I had to trust Him first by placing myself in His care.

At age 33 I gave everything I had away. Reason being I was unable to have those things without worrying about them. My possessions were coming between me and my God.

“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Vs 25)

I was being held hostage by my possessions. And at this time in my life I was seeking after a relationship with my Savior.

27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;

29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Vs 27-29)

I wanted to be dependent on my Savior, so I gave away everything, even the car. My possessions were reduced to what I could carry in my backpack. And off I went from Virginia Beach, Virginia, we caught a ride down to Greenville, South Carolina, my wife and I, and she was 5 months pregnant. We dug a garden for a man there who gave us a place to sleep and the next morning he told us to go to Black Mountain, North Carolina. He said, that Montreat, a Christian retreat center there was hiring people to paint hotel rooms, so we went there to sign up to paint.

On the way out to sign up we passed a large frame house with little cabins surrounding it, and I told my wife that’s where we will stay while we’re here.

After we got signed up to paint, we went back to that house and knocking on the door the nicest lady answered saying, “Can I help you?”

I told her that we wanted to rent one of her little cabins, she said, “I’m sorry but they’re not ready for renting just yet, but come in I think I have something for you.”

She led us to a fully furnished apartment upstairs in the house.

I explained that we would not get paid for painting at Montreat for a few days, but could pay when we got paid. She said that would be fine with her.

So here we are, not a cent to our name, in a really nice apartment, with dishes, linens, and even food in the pantry. Yahshua had provided!

I could hardly believe it.

I sat down on the sofa as the lady left us and looked up to see a poster on the wall, a picture of birds in a wheat field and under it the caption, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Vs 26)

Tears welled up in my eyes as I began to trace our steps to this place, and here He was speaking to us from His Word and telling us that He has us, and will not fail us.

Many of us have yet to learn to trust Him that way, but these are lessons that will be taught to everyone who seeks Him out with their whole heart.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29)

(Vs 31-34)

Do we know why it is that we Can’t trust the Lord?

It’s because it’s difficult to trust someone that we don’t know!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

How many ways must he warn us?

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

Do we call Him lord? If so, we need to understand that this alone will not get us into heaven. And Yahshua / Jesus tells us exactly why. He who does the will of my Father, YHWH God, this is who will enter the Kingdom of Elohim.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”  (Vs 21)

His words, not mine! So where does this leave us, and what exactly is the will of the Father?

God’s will is exactly what He tells us it is. And if we don’t know what he has spoken about His will, we will be left outside of the Holy City looking in at those who have kept the Commandments of God. For He delivered it to us in no uncertain terms.

1And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

YHWH God spoke these words to the children of Israel, in the presence of Moses and the entire multitude that He brought out from under bondage in Egypt.

And if we do not fear Him, or respect the Father enough to obey Him, then surely, we will never get past his Son, Yahshua / Jesus.

For He says, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’” (Vs 22)

It doesn’t make any difference what we think about our service to God, if we want to enter His Kingdom, then we need to know what he thinks, especially with regard to us. And if we have not adopted His wedding vows (the Covenant, or Commandments), then who’s bride, are we?

Yahshua speaks to this set of circumstances to us loud and clear, when He says, “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Vs 23)

Now these are people who have been praising his name, and casting out demons in his name, even prophesy is spoken by them, but still, they are not acceptable to Him on that last day, because of Lawlessness.

“Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.”
(Ezekiel 22:26)

We have a history of doing these things, and according to the prophet, there’s nothing new about our unfaithfulness. And perhaps this is why Yahshua speaks of how we are supposed to not only keep the Commandments, but we are to teach them from the Pulpit.

He says, “Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19)

We owe both Yahshua and God the Father a huge debt of gratitude, for had they not come to our rescue we would still be in bondage to the enemy. And how do we know who our enemy is?

The Apostle Paul gives us His identity saying, “Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?
And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He (the Anti-Christ) who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2nd Thessalonians 2:5-12)

It’s the enemy, Satan, who is whispering in our ears and telling us that we are above being lawful to God and do not have to keep His Word? Here is the lie that will keep us from entering the Kingdom of Elohim. And it the same lie that he told in the Garden of Eden.

How many times must we be told? And Our Savior Himself warns us to not take the path of lawlessness. Yet, because we love our sinful ways so much, we twist the scriptures, and invent reasons to ignore what God Himself has said.

But hear the Words of Christ when He says, “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:41-43)

Heed this warning, but only if we truly love Yahshua / Jesus Christ will we live to please Him and the Father.

Thus, he says, “If you love me, keep my Commandments!” (John 14:15)

Shalom My Friends,

Chuck Greever

How is our way Narrow?

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer; since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus / Yahshua is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus / Yahshua  Christ.
These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
 (2nd Thessalonians 1:3-10)

The Apostle Paul writes to the church in Thessalonica saying that He is happy with them, because they are growing in the Spirit, and is evidenced by their love for one another.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, (Vs 3)

Then He says that as He travels, He is telling others of their faithfulness even through the persecutions, and trials they are enduring.

What a mighty exhortation. That Paul boasts of them to others is a testimony of their adherence to the Word of God. And incidentally the only Scriptures that were readily available to the early Churches were the first five books of what we know as Bible, and the prophets. As well as some miscellaneous other scrolls.  So, we can be certain that they learned the Torah as part of their discipline.

which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer; since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus / Yahshua is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ(Vs 5-8)

When Paul speaks of those who do not obey the Gospel of Christ, He is speaking of those who are outside of the Commandments of God. For the way of Christ is and always will be, the ancient Path. For He is the Way, the truth, and the life.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

He is not only the living Word of YHWH God, but He is the Law / Torah. And the essence of what Paul is telling us here, is that those who do not adhere to God’s Commandments are the ones who will see tribulation, not His Children!

These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.  (Vs 9, 10)

For he has said, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
“I, Jesus / Yahshua, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:12-16)

Here is the warning that he speaks of when He says, I have sent my Angel / messenger to testify of these things. That those who have loved and believed the lie are not able to enter the Kingdom of Elohim.

What lie is it that they have loved? It is the same lie that Satan told to Adam and Eve in the garden. That they don’t have to obey God’s Word! And even now, Satan is preaching the same lie from the pulpit in our Churches.

Clearly this is what separates us from the inheritance of the Children of God, our ability to hear and understand the truth of His Word because it has been obscured by this one lie, and God has allowed it to remain on those who are awash in unbelief.

Did Christ Himself not warn us saying, “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
See, I have told you beforehand. (Matthew 24:23-25)

Many Have come out from among those who are practicing this lie of lawlessness. But many more have closed their minds to this inconvenient truth. Those that will not hear it, will perish, and we can at the very least say, test everything I tell you according to the scriptures.

But remember the Words of Christ who said, “narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:14)

What is narrow about lawlessness?

How is our way narrow?

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

We can’t say we weren’t told.

Isaiah 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Isaiah speaks for YHWH God when He tell us that we should turn from the ways of the world and Honor God’s Sabbath.

“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,” (Vs 13)

Turning away our foot from the Sabbath means to not tread upon it. do not treat it as you would a common thing. But rather, this day is not for doing our own pleasure, but to honor God and to keep His will. People who are accustomed to working every day will find it difficult to stop their activity, and rest. But this is how we honor YHWH God.

I personally have had that knee jerk reaction to resting, wanting to go to the store, or head for the drive through at Mc Donald’s, but I manage to stop remembering that we are not to act as if it’s any other day. It God’s Sabbath, so I eat and drink at home. Therefore, I have not caused someone else to labor on the Sabbath in order to serve me. I have not caused them to sin.

“Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.” (Ezekiel 22: 26)

When we turn away from this day and declare some other day to be God’s Sabbath, have we not departed from the very Word of God?

Have we completely forgotten who we are in Him who created the heavens and the Earth, and who breathed His life into us, and He rested on the Seventh day?

When He gave us the commandments, He said, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
(Exodus 20:8-11)

So where does this leave us? Especially those who have transferred the Sabbath to another day. Not only have they transgressed the commandments of God, but they have distanced themselves from the very mark that sets them aside from the Lawless, who will be condemned.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
(Exodus 31:12-17)

This part of Christian doctrine is a tragedy and their undoing. Not only Have they made his eternal Holy Day temporary, but they have believed the words of Satan Himself and taken up the ways of the Anti-Christ, allowing the Lawless one to remove from them the very thing that separates us to YHWH God. Is it any wonder that we cannot manifest the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

And is it any wonder that Christ said of these false believer’s, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

I have tried everything to wake them up, and to warn them of this lie, and the deception. And in so doing I have delivered to them the very word of God unaltered, and unchanged in any way. So let me add this one scripture as it was written by Paul Himself.

Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?
And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He (the Anti-Christ) who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2nd Thessalonians 2:5-12)

How many ways must we tell you, that what you’re doing is an affront and an insult to The Lord God almighty. But still, many of you will not listen and while I pray for you, for many it will be of no use!

But at least when we stand before Him to give an account, we cannot say that we weren’t told.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever
