Here is the Problem!

Deuteronomy 4:1 “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.
2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.
4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.

Now here is the problem, we were given the Commandments by YHWH God the Father from the very first. And our ancestors, the sons and daughters of Israel, entered into a covenant agreement with YHWH to keep these commandments.

We are to keep God’s commandments, not ours, not any man’s, but YHWH God’s commandments just as they are given in the scriptures.

He said, “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Vs 2)

In other words, we can’t change any commandment, nor can we add to it, Christmas, Easter, or Sunday Sabbath. We must no do anything outside of what God ordained. And He promises retribution against those who do.

He explains, “Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.”

His wrath against those who chose idolatry and worshipped Baal of Peor violated His Commandments and now they no longer live. Changing or adapting His commandment to suit ourselves is the same as Bowing down to Baal or some other god in YHWH’s eyes.

The same was true for the Temple priests who came against Messiah Yahshua, in Mark Chapter 7,

He said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
” (Mark 7:6, 7)

This is a big no, no, and no matter who we think we are in Christ the same scriptures apply to us. I say this because so many think that because they call themselves Gentiles they have no part in the Old Testament, but in reality they have no part in Christ, and have not been grafted in to the His house, the house of Israel.

When we do these things not only have we declared ourselves independent of God, but we have declared openly that we worship ourselves as god’s and have taken liberty with the Holy Scriptures. That my friends is a declaration of idolatry.

Fortunately we have a Savior in the Messiah of Israel who will forgive us our trespasses, But for that to happen there must be a contrite heart, and a desire to change. And some have changed and come out from among those who are lawless, and corrupted.

While you consider this message today also consider this:

Why did Yahshua say, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!
” (Matthew 7:22, 23)

Shalom my friends,

Did you know that the Holy Spirit never sleeps?

If you’re living by His Spirit you are awake 24/7 and whether sleeping or awake your  Spirit is active and so is your mind.

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

Psalms 121:4-6

It is imperative that we begin our day by remembering our dreams, and when we lay our heads down at night we should dedicate our dream life to the Holy Spirit that watches over us even during our sleep. Everything that happens in our sleep state has Spiritual implications, and we even receive prompting when it’s something that we need to pay attention to.

All of us have had such dreams that we had no difficulty remembering them. I am willing to bet that as we’re reading this we will recall a dream that stuck with us for a long time, and probably had a great influence on our life. I know that I have had many such dreams.

Daniel, Joseph and many others had such dreams according to the Scriptures. And they weighed heavily in their lives.

Do not think for a moment that Yah will leave us or forsake us,even in our sleep, but we must begin to act as though we expect to be led. In our sleep when we are most open to the operation of the Holy Spirit.

How to begin?

Put a pen and note pad next to your bed. And when you wake even if it’s a bathroom call, write down the last thing you remember from your dreams.

Over a period of time, piece by piece, we’ll find that there’s a pattern to our dream life. We’ll be shown how we must change in order to grow in the Spirit, and awaken our relationship to Yahshua.

Did He not say, “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)

Now is the time to wake up and let the gifts of the Holy Spirit come forth in our lives. How else do we think the gift of prophecy will become manifest in us?

Let’s be awake and aware 24/7.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

How do we prepare to stand before our King?

Esther 4:15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai:
16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so, I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.

Even the queen knew that to go to the king uninvited meant that she could be killed on the spot. So how did she prepare to see King Ahasuerus? She went before Him in absolute humility, fasting and praying for 3 days prior to going. Cleansing Herself of any self-interest, she went knowing that she could die as a result. But some things are more important than life.

The utmost caution must be exercised when coming before our King for any reason. Especially the King of Kings, the time will come when all of us will appear before Him, and who and what we are will be weighed according to what we have done with the life we have been given.

I recommend that because we know that unlike Esther, we will be summoned. But never the less, it will be a life and death encounter.

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

Many of us are in no way prepared to meet our King. Thus, we need to find out exactly what is required of us to be prepared. We need to know His ground rules, not ours!

Total submission is required, do not appear before Christ Yahshua in our arrogance, to tell Him that we require grace, rather than obedience. I can guarantee that this would be a recipe for His worst response. Lawlessness equals sinfulness, and the wages of sin is death.

Christ said, “So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:49, 50)

While we can, now is the time to admit our error, and repent, turning from our lawless ways, and changing so that we come before our King humble and obedient. A loving Child of YHWH God, returning to His Father. It cannot be any other way, even for those who have the shallowest understanding of the Bible. They must know that this is required of them.

Do not go unprepared!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Return to me, and I will return to you! Says YHWH God.

Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.
4 “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.”’

Nehemiah 1:9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’

From the beginning, there have always been those chosen to call us back to the faith.

Unlike many who have returned to the Hebrew Roots of our faith, I know exactly what my calling is. My calling is to bring as many as I can, out of false religion. And my Savior has equipped me for this work.

He has told me that I should announce to all who will listen, that he is calling all who say they believe in Him, and His gospel, and that they should return to the old ways.

And we must understand that this is imperative, before He comes.

There is no other way! We are not going to be able to sneak in the back way, like we have been trying to do in the past.

It’s not me, that is coming to you with this plea, but Christ Himself, who also called us out of our idolatry, and back to the Word of YHWH God.

We need to understand something about the Old Testament, that many of us aren’t fully aware of. Yahshua Christ and His disciples did not teach from the New Testament, because it did not yet exist. They changed the world with the scriptures as they were over 2000 years ago. This is what they taught from, and why the New Testament Gospels have so many references from the Old Testament.

If we’re looking to enter the Kingdom of Elohim, we need to return to the same Roots both Christ and His disciples came out of.

Right now, our lawlessness will be the cause of many unnecessary deaths. Do not attempt to approach His Judgment bench having set aside any of his Commandments in favor of grace.

Especially what YHWH God set aside Himself, as Holy, the Sabbath!

It will not work, and this is why He said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
(Matthew 7:21-23)

Don’t you think that He knows that we have been taught from false doctrine. Passed down from a corrupt Roman Catholic Church. Here is that last opportunity to set it right, before He comes.

I don’t insist that you listen to me, I know that most of you will not make the cut. But I have to put it out there for those who might want to learn to walk as He walked.

How many times did he say follow me? Are you really following His example and or His teachings?

Did he not say, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

How has he manifested Himself toward you? Are you Spirit driven? Would you like to have a strong certainty about your calling, and your path?

It cost us nothing to find out about these things, but perhaps a little humility.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Let the Spirit of Christ lead us!

Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
 (1st Peter 1:13-16)

The Apostle Peter is telling us to prepare our minds, be not under any other influence, but place your hope on the grace of Jesus / Yahshua the Messiah. We are not going to enter the Kingdom without His presence having made it so. But we must not allow ourselves to be ruled by our former desires, as if were ignorant of His Word. (The Commandments.)

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
(John 14:23, 24)

Keeping His Word is the means by which we are to be Holy, just as He is Holy.

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
(John 14:15-17)

When we conform ourselves to His instructions, we receive the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth. Thus, we have in us His Spirit, and a leg up on being Holy.

but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (Vs 15, 16)

So now, are we ready to be Holy? And if we are, are we prepared to walk According to Holiness, How is it that we can achieve Holiness?

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
(1st Corinthians 6:18-20)

The Holy Spirit in us will not allow us to live outside of God’s Law. He will depart from us first.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)

The Spirit of Yahshua Christ Himself is the presence that comes to abide with us. And if Christ is anything at all He surely is the living expression of God’s Law, the Commandments, which is synonymous, with the Word of God. He that lives in us is the living Word of YHWH God. (The Logos) To deny God’s Law is equal to denying Christ, the Messiah.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (1st John 2:6)

I hear so many Churches crying out for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and asking YHWH God for a revival, but it cannot happen if we don’t preach the Word of God, the commandments. So here is why we struggle with ministry. And here is why we are filling pews with backsliders. And until the church returns to teaching and preaching according to God’s Law, nothing will change.

We must preach the path to Holiness.

For We must know this one thing: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (James 4:6-10)

We cannot be double minded and succeed at anything requiring Holiness.
