Revival is coming, and then the end!

Matthew 24:4 “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Do not be deceived, means the truth must be your guide.

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” (Vs 5)

This is happening now, we have in most gospel preaching churches, a false doctrine being preached that says that practically everyone is going to heaven. Preaching a false image of Christ, and contradicting virtually everything He said.

For instance, Yahshua said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14)

Few will find it, not everyone! And the way is narrow because it is outlined by the Commandments of God. But the Commandments are not preached in most churches, and they have not been preached for a long time now. And why are they not being included in the gospel?

It’s because the Commandments do not fall in line with the gospel of the Anti-Christ. That gospel has always said that we don’t have to obey God to be saved. The same as what Satan preached to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

And while this false doctrine is being preached, it will seem like all of Hell has come to earth.

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Vs 6-8)

There will be tribulation, and many will reject this false Christ, because what they need now is the truth, no matter how difficult it is.

Here is the basis for a true revival! The truth must come to light.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.” (Vs 9)

The blood of Christ will continue to flow through those who will be martyred. Yes, we will die by the thousands. But do not fear, because we have a Savior who was killed for us and defeated death. So on the flip side of death for us is Life eternal.

Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

But what the enemy doesn’t know, is by doing this they’re driving nails into their own coffins, but the difference is, that they will die at the hands of a just and righteous God. Thus, when they die there will be hell to pay!

“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” (Vs 10-12)

We are already seeing the offense, people are always offended by the name of Christ, and now especially in political circles. And Have we noticed that the Hated Conservatives are also identified with evangelical Christians? Here is where we will be attacked.

And in the mix are many false prophets and those who are preaching a false gospel. one that preaches lawlessness, and because there is that lie, many will never be able to grasp the love of God.

So here is the root cause of the whole thing, where the Commandments are not kept, and the Law not taught, we have apostacy. And this destroys the effectiveness of the church.

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,” (2nd Thessalonians 2:3)

At the root of all lawlessness, we will find the Roman Catholic Church, and here is the throne of the Anti-Christ. This will be revealed and is being revealed now to those who have been duped into following their doctrine.

“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Vs 13, 14)

The truth is being brought forward as we read this, more and more people, Pastor’s included are being called out from the deception and into the light of God’s truth. The stage is set and the time of Christ’s coming is on the verge of happening. It won’t be long now!

But still, we must endure to the end, making a stand for the truth.

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” (Isaiah 41:10)

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Do you think that God doesn’t know or understand you?

Deuteronomy 5:12 ‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you.
13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
14 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
15 And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore, the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

In the book of Deuteronomy, we find again the Ten Commandments almost verbatim just as they were given in the Book of Exodus. It’s as if Adonai is pleading with us, through Moses that we ought to keep His commandments just as they were given. He spells out for us yet again that we are to keep His Sabbath and instructs us as to how we will keep it.

“‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you.” (Verse 12)

To Keep the Sabbath the word, “shâmar” is used. It means to build a wall, or hedge around it. Or to guard it, or watch over it. The Sabbath is to be as precious to us as it is to Him, like a treasure.

Adonai explains, that we must not exert ourselves on this day. He says, “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. (Verses 13, 14)

The whole world will continue to carry on as if it nothing special, the Sabbath, but the people of Yahweh our Elohim will stand down and honor Him on this very special day. So let’s consider why this day is so special to the people of God.

It is because it reminds us of who He is! Yahweh is our creator, for God labored for six days and completed his work. He made a home for those who are the work of His hands, and we are to honor that act of love on His part.

In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. (Genesis 5:2)

If we don’t believe we were created by our Elohim then we should go and look in the mirror and just examine the human eye in our reflection. Truly, it could not have occurred by accident,

“‘I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
‘You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Verse 6, 7)

This is demanded of us! that we belong to Him, because He redeemed us out of a situation that we created. And because He created every one of us in His likeness. We can refuse to accept His Yoke upon us, but in view of the power of God I am led to believe that would be foolish on our part.

“And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore, the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.” (Verse 15)

Here is how special we are to Him; Yahweh calls upon us to love Him. He requires a love relationship between Him and His Children. What Father would want that?

Deuteronomy 6:4 We are commanded, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

This is known far and wide as the Shema, and this is the difference between God’s people and Men in general, and why the keeping of His Sabbath is so important. When God speaks His people listen and obey! Ordinary men cannot grasp the meaning of such a commandment, this is how we are set aside as Holy unto the Lord. Our lives revolve around Him, and not ourselves, we hear and obey His word.

Which brings us to what happened to His seventh day rest? His Sabbath, who changed it to Sunday? Enter the Roman Catholic Church, they changed it, saying that they had the authority to do so. In other words, the Pope has more power than the Word of God.

Ignoring Yahweh’s Holy Commandment, they chose to compromise with a Pagan Emperor (Constantine) in 321 AD and changed the Sabbath to the day of worship for Pagan’s, and they killed everyone that didn’t comply. This was not the only thing.  So Messianic believers who followed the God of Israel. were killed for keeping God’s Commandments by the Roman Catholic Church,

Thus, Sunday became the Catholic Sabbath by edict of the Pope, and Thousands of true believers died rather than submit to their tyranny. They followed God and died for that reason. Here is why I am writing about God’s Sabbath today!

To honor those who have gone before us, and suffered at the hands of godless men. We disgrace them as we forsake that blessed Sabbath and go one Sunday instead. By keeping a Sunday Sabbath we have made the Pope our god.

Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”

Do you think that our Elohim doesn’t know that we have been deceived? Of course, He does. But that is no excuse while we have in our possession, the truth. (The Bible)

So, we need to ask ourselves this one question? Do we really want eternal Life? Then return to the ancient path, and obey our creator. Our lives are totally in His hands, and the Pope is in deep trouble, with God. Follow your savior, not any man!

Matthew 16:24-25 Then Yahshua / Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Get saved and stay saved.

1st John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Many of us have difficulty dealing with absolutes, but we must understand that God is absolutely good there is no darkness in Him, not even a hint of sin. He is 100% righteous in every way. And just in all He does.

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. (Vs 5)

But while that is a wonderful thing, it is also dreadful. Especially for those of us who being human, have a good deal of darkness about us. We are weak, and while we desire to be like God, we are tempted to do things that are not conducive to goodness. Our minds are open to things that are on both sides of the line, some are good and some are evil.

And in order to be good we need to have a discipline that keeps us in line. So, Both God the Father, and the Son, Yahshua, tell us that we must walk according to the instructions that He handed down, in order to have a relationship.

Thus, Yahshua says, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

This is without exception the key to any kind of relationship with God!

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Yahshua / Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (Vs 6, 7)

Now, there’s no point in denying that we sin, but at the same time we desire to have a relationship with Yahshua Christ the Messiah. How is it possible, for a human to have a relationship with my creator? The blood that was shed at the cross was for that purpose, so that we could be forgiven our various sins. And then walk according to His ways. You and I, when we come in repentance to submit to Christ, are forgiven for our sins, we are made righteous by His blood and then He becomes our master. Or does He?

What if we return to our sin? After all, it seems that’s as natural to us as walking upright.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1st Corinthians 2:14)

So here we are, naturally leaning toward sin. and so the apostle John says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” (Vs 8-10)

He is the source of our righteousness, and if we sin, we must again return to Him and repent of it. There is no longer a reason to remain in sin. But there is a very good reason to know God’s Commandments, because they define everything that we could do that He would find offensive. The Commandments help us to see where we are in our relationship, and what it is that needs forgiveness; thus, we can see how Grace and the commandments of God go hand in hand. There’s no such thing as grace alone.

2nd Peter 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” £ and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Having been forgiven, then it’s up to us to remain saved, realizing that His precious blood was spilled so that we could return to God. Yes, we will probably sin again, but when we realize that what we have done is against God, and the very one who died for us to be free from sin.

Then, it is necessary to get on our knees and turn from it. Repentance simply means to turn or to reverse course. When we say to Yahshua that we want to change our ways, and walk according to His ways, according to God’s Commandments. That’s repentance!

1st John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

Do not engage in Lawlessness, but if we do then we must repent immediately.

Did Christ not say, that He would separate from us if we do that?  Saying, “‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:23)

Get saved and stay saved, Amen?

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Who sanctifies You?

Exodus 31:12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

The very last thing that HaShem said to Moses before He handed Him the two Tablets of stone on which He had written the Commandments, was That he should be sure to speak to the children of Israel about the importance of keeping His Sabbath.

He said to Moses, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (Vs 13)

His concern is that they have entered into covenant with Him, and HaShem knows that they have not the inclination to be as faithful to this holy covenant as He is. And He is as always, correct in His knowledge of these humans whom He has extracted from bondage in Egypt. But this one point carries with it a dire outcome, if we do not faithfully adhere to it.

HaShem said, “You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.” (Vs 14)

The promise for this kind of unfaithfulness is death, and at the very least to be cast out from among the Assembly. Now this death is not just bang, your dead, but it is a final death, being held as unworthy to be counted as a part of the promises of God. Those who trespass in this way are deemed violators of the covenant with God, our Elohim, and not worthy of even the trash heap.

“Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.” (Vs 15)

When HaShem says something twice, He really means it, and here he repeats It again, that this particular day is set aside for rest. No work shall be done on the Sabbath, none, not even cooking or washing dishes, and here we live in a nation that considers The Sabbath as no different that any other work day.

How many Sabbath Mornings have we been awakened by the sound of lawn mowers? This one trespass against God’s holy Sabbath is a huge part of our troubles now. We for the most part are a nation of dead people, in God’s eyes.

“Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.” (Vs 16)

This covenant is forever, it shall not be broken for any reason. Even if you don’t consider yourselves a part of Israel, you’ll be held to it. How can we be a part of God’s Kingdom and not keep the Covenant?

We need to understand that their is no way for us to declare that we are not a part of Israel and still be acceptable to Yahshua, who is our Judge. When we come to Him as Savior and redeemer, we must humble ourselves as we are adopted into His assembly. And understand that we have in every sense of the word become a part of His Israel. And because we belong to Yahshua we have been grafted into the olive tree (Israel) as The Apostle Paul tells us, (see Romans 11:17)

“It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. (Vs 17, 18)

We are all looking forward to the time when Christ comes to reign over us, but be forewarned, He also comes to judge. If there ever was a time, we would need to have God’s mark upon us, now is that time!

He tells us that this is the sign or mark that says that we belong to Him. And those of us who are truly saved will bear His mark, and not the mark of the enemy, the Anti-Christ.

Christ came teaching and preaching the Commandments of God and warned us against this deception saying, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:15-20)

Here is the fruit of a bad tree.  The Changing of God’s Sabbath by the Roman Catholic Church was the work of Satan Himself. His way of creating a gulf between God’s people and God Himself. He had them break covenant with our creator. And Now, there’s only one way to repair this grave error, and that is our repentance and a change of direction.

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father who sent Me.” (John 23, 24)

I beg of you to follow God’s Word and flee from the doctrine of men, so that you may live and not die!

Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding;
For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law. (Proverbs 4:1, 2)

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Yahweh the teacher!

When we have entered into a relationship with God, we need to understand that part of our relationship will bring Spiritual growth, and He will be our teacher.

We will be presented with a lesson, and then we are tested to see if we have indeed learned that which He has taught us.

This is no different than the way we are taught in school, first the lesson then the test, and until we can pass the test we cannot rise to the next level in our development. This holds true throughout the scriptures.

He gives us instructions, (Commandments) and then we are tested.

For example:

Exodus 20:2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

These we will be tested on, until they become a part of who and what we are, so that we become fit to enter His Kingdom.

Welcome to Yahweh’s school for the Saints. If we fail to make the grade then the lesson is taught again but differently. We are the ones who either determine that we will make the grade or fail.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2nd Timothy 2:15)

Welcome to Yahweh University!

Shalom my friends,

Chuck Greever

Freely you have received.

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21)

Do we not understand that we have nothing that our Elohim didn’t provide? It is completely within His power to remove it from us. For we do not own it, but rather we have been made stewards of these things that we should hold loosely.

I say this because of what happened to me as I worshipped this morning, My Savior spoke to me saying that while it’s nice to shout praises to Yahweh, it’s nice to dance for Him, but to withhold from Him anything creates a barrier to a full relationship with Him.

If we love our Children more than Yahshua, or our privacy, our property, or our possessions. Are we fit for His Kingdom? What is it that we cannot share with those whom we fellowship with? A friend of mine came half way across the country to be a part of this fellowship. And only one person offered them shelter. Everyone else who could have helped didn’t. they were either too busy with other things, or just didn’t want to be bothered.

We are coming into a time when we will have to learn to share, because even our property will be threatened, our jobs, and our financial holdings. Food is going to become a problem, and security will be non-existent.

Even if these things don’t happen still, what will we withhold from God? And where is the heart of that trust servant?

The Story that Yahshua told about Lazarus and the Rich man comes to mind as I speak on this subject.

Luke 16: 19“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
20But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
21desiring to be fed with £the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’
25But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
26And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
27“Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,
28for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
29Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
30And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

One of the last things tha Abraham said to the Rich man was, “‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.” (Vs 25)

Please my friends, let the body of Christ Yahshua be without selfish-egotism. That smacks of idolatry doesn’t it? Putting material things before Yahshua Christ the Messiah.

We have failed at least one test; I pray that there are more opportunities to redeem ourselves.

In the name of Yahshua HaMashiach, Shabbat Shalom,

Chuck Greever

38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.”

Numbers 25:1 Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab.
2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.
3 So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.”
5 So Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.”
6 And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
7 Now when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand;
8 and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So, the plague was stopped among the children of Israel.
9 And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand.

I can’t imagine that Israel would do such a thing after having been delivered from Pharaoh’s bondage, and being fed Manna in the wilderness. But it is a matter of record that they did these things, they turned to idolatry while being under the care and provision of HaShem.

“Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.” (Vs 1, 2)

It’s as if they thought they could take a vacation from being subject to their Creator. HaShem is a jealous Elohim, He will not allow an on and off relationship. No one can come to Him and just walk away! A relationship with HaShem is sealed by a Covenant, it is a full time and permanent. He puts His mark on us to stay, it will not fade away.

“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.” (Deuteronomy 11:26-28)

They had angered HaShem and His Wrath was against all of them, even those who had not bowed down to Ba’al.

“So, Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.” (Vs 3)

Something had to be done. They were exposed to God’s Wrath because of those who has sinned a grievous sin before their Elohim.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.” (Vs 4)

So, God Himself gives the children of Israel a solution. They must execute those who have entered into Idolatry, in order to satisfy God’s wrath.

So, Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.” (Vs 5)

“And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.” (Vs 6)

Here we see the beginning of a war between those who have been set aside By HaShem as Holy, and those who have fallen short of the mark. Here we see what being set aside by God actually means. We cannot be joined to those who worship other gods.

It’s because they bring curses with them.

“Now when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand; and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So, the plague was stopped among the children of Israel. And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand.” (Vs 7-9)

Twenty-four thousand died because of a plague that was brought on by Idolatry, putting things first before God. They who sinned had bowed down to the god of sex, and Ba’al. Rather than bow to the Elohim of Israel they chose self-worship, egotism.

Perhaps we can begin to see why we as a nation are dying from a man-made plague right now, because we have been joined to those who practice Idolatry, and worse. We are joined to those who refuse to bow to our creator, rejecting His Commandments and carrying out our own traditions, forsaking God in the process.

Truly we don’t belong in this nation, because God’s wrath is upon it!

We will either take up the Javelin ourselves, or truly separate ourselves from them. We cannot have a foot in both camps.

Exodus 20:2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Having agreed to this covenant, we should know better than to depart from it, even in shades of grey!

Examine yourself!

Mark 11:22 “Have faith in God.
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

So many of us are praying now for the future of our country, because it is of vital importance not just to this generation but to generations to come. So, remember what Yahshua said when He reminded Us to have faith in The Father. Saying, “Have faith in God.” (Vs 22)

Then He gives us His assurance that we have the ability to even move mountains. Saying, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Vs 23)

Then should we not put Him to the test? If we are praying that the enemy be thwarted in his attempts to take over this country. So that we can live free again and so that our children can also have that legacy. We can simply pray that Satan’s minions be removed, and they will self-destruct, or simply fade away.

That’s the promise!

“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Vs 24)

Once we have begun to pray, then we must expect to have what it is that we have prayed for. Begin to look expectantly for God’s answer to that prayer, exactly as it was prayed.  There is no reason for God to not answer this prayer, am I right?

But Yahshua follows with one reason that God may ignore such a prayer. He says, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” (Vs 25)

If we are indeed His children, then we will purge ourselves of any burden of unforgiveness. I say burden because that’s what it is, when we can’t forgive other’s then that’s kind of like shooting ourselves in the head, and expecting the other person to die. We have removed ourselves from the mercy and grace of God. No matter what crimes have been committed against us, it must be forgiven.

“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Vs 26)

We must clean out our temple, and remove all of those things that hinder our prayer, and Yahshua brings forward this issue because at that time it was most important on His list of things to not do.

Remember What He said about the Commandments of God.

“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Loving God is keeping the Commandments He gave us, and loving our neighbor is the same. We do for our neighbor the things we want for ourselves. And to be forgiven should top the list!

So, if we really want our prayer’s to be heard, let us be obedient children of God, keeping peace with others, and keeping the commandments of God the Father. Let us ask ourselves why He would entertain prayer requests from those who are not really of His flock to begin with.

John 14:23 “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.”

2nd Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?

Hear the heart cry of YHWH!

2nd Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

What is an unbeliever? Someone who does not follow the path of righteousness that Yahshua exemplified in His life and taught, they do not possess the love of God, nor do they love their neighbor as themselves. I think that pretty well covers unbelief.

John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? (Vs 14)

How can one walk in unbelief and also be a light bearer? It is just not possible to follow Christ, and not keep the commandments of God.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? (Vs 15)

There is no way, no truth, and no life among those who refuse to obey God, and don’t even keep His ordained Sabbath, the 7th day! This spells nothing but death to them who are deceived into these transgressions. God help them to awaken and correct their path.

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Vs 16)

God is crying out to His people to repent and return to Him. It does not make sense to believe that God Changed His Sabbath. Nor is it rational that He would give us commandments, and then have His Son die on a cross to abolish them.

Only a child would believe such garbage, or someone looking for a shortcut to heaven, when there is none!

Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (Vs 17, 18)

Truly, if you cannot hear God’s heart cry out to us then truly, you’re not His, and never were. Humble yourselves and repent, asking forgiveness and He will receive you. And you will learn His ways.

Malachi 3:7-10 Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the LORD of hosts.

There, you have His promise!

Facing eternity with the Pope!

Exodus 31:12And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
13“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
17It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

Here is why I am always coming to you with an exhortation regarding the keeping of God’s Sabbath, rather than Sunday, because it is according to the Word of God.

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (Vs 13)

He is the one who sanctifies us, and sets us aside, making us holy. And here is what we don’t seem to grasp, that we are dependents! We exist because of Him, not in spite of Him, and because of that we are in a life or death situation here.

“You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.” (Vs 14, 15)

We cannot violate His Sabbath and live or remain as a part of the body of Messiah. But the problem here is that we don’t follow the Word of God, instead in our vast wisdom we prefer to follow the words of mortal men.

A Sunday Sabbath is fictitious, YHWH would never change His Sabbath day.  “For I am the Lord, I do not change; (Malachi 3:6) Think about it, are we willing to die over a Pagan Sabbath? That what it is, it was changed by the Roman Catholic Church in 321 AD.

So, we will die because we prefer to follow the edict of a Pagan Pope? That just does not make good sense!

Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

Ever since the Creation, God established His Sabbath. It is holy to Him, a set apart time when He comes together with His Children. And the entire assembly of traditional Christian churches show up a day late and expect to fellowship with Him?

What happens when we show up for an appointment with anyone a day late. Your doctor might give us another appointment. Or that job interview might just hire someone else who is more responsible. But God just waits until the day of judgment.

Had you repented and changed, then there would be no problem, for Yahshua is merciful and will forgive us. But when have we ever repented of violating This commandment?

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:8-11)

So, in this case we would be well advised to distance ourselves from those false teachers who are insisting that we keep some other Sabbath, than the one that God ordained. It is as much a suicide as putting a gun to our head.

Violating God’s Sabbath is as much a sin as murder or adultery.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
